First Time in a new Continent-771

  FIRST TIME IN A NEW CONTINENT  !! Due to a very short time for our Airline Reservations , we chose the Ethiopian Airways as our Travel Partner from Chennai to Toronto .  CHENNAI - ADDIS ABABA - ROME - TORONTO  had quite a few things going against it . Nearly 5 hours of longer journey time due to the 10 Hour Transit at Addis Ababa . Being the first time that we were setting foot on the African Soil had its own totally unwanted but hidden fears .  Fears about Ethiopian Airways and Addis Ababa were totally misconceived . Chennai to Addis Ababa had only the two of us for a space of three , food was not bad . Addis Ababa is quite a big Airport with all the features of a Premium Airport anywhere else in the World . Ethiopian Airways in fact provided us with free accommodations and Dinner Coupons inside the City for our 10 hour transit . Totally one Sided - 770

  3 STUDENTS KILLED AS TRAIN HITS SCHOOL          VAN NEAR CUDDALORE .  This mishap which killed 3 Students comes as a shock to everyone . Young lives lost due to totally unforeseen circumstances is a tragedy which we as Citizens should be seriously concerned and worried . All Our sympathies are with the parents and friends of those who have lost their near and dear ones and also to those who got injured in this accident .  The Headlines in the The Times Of India Newspaper  “ THREE STUDENTS KILLED AS TRAIN HITS SCHOOL VAN NEAR CUDDALORE “                      Made the reading highly controversial .         Raghavendra Swami Temple The New Raghavendra Swami Temple which had its Kumbhabhishekam last Month is drawing a lot of Devotees ;  For those not in the know-how this Temple is situated near the intersection of the still under construction Ambai Bypass road on the Ambai to Ambur Road proceeding to Tenkasi . Today's Mandala Pooja was conducted on our behalf by Ramkumar with all due devotion and diligence. We were fortunate to have the MelSanti of Ariyankaavu Ayyappa Swami Temple among us to grace the occasion.  Please do visit the Temple when you are around in these parts and seek his Blessings.

First Day at School - 768

  NEW SCHOOL ADMISSION CANADA 2025  The Last but One Day of my stay in Toronto , Canada in 2025 was special for two reasons .  ONE : In the Morning :  My Granddaughter was getting admitted in a School at Ajax in Canada in the Kindergarten Class . Officially the session was to  start only in the Month of September . Parents and Grandparents were taken for a look around of  the School and the Facilities provided .  The facilities provided were simply amazing . Display of what was to be sent and what not to be sent in the School Bag especially with special care for the eatables was really helpful to the first time Parents sending their wards to school.  The Photo Shoot of the kids entering the School for the first time and keeping it as a treasured memento for later years was well thought out .  TWO : Late Afternoon :  SENIOR SCHOOL SCIENCE EXHIBITION  Science Exhibition by Students of High School who had created hand crafted miniature...

             Toronto to Trivandrum Travel  Air Travel has its own Fascination and Intrigues . Your age profile defines that to a large extent . We had booked our Tickets for our Return journey to India from Canada some 7 Months back by the Emirates Airlines . The First leg of the journey was from Toronto to Dubai by EK242 . This is by the Wide Body AIRBUS A380-800 Aircraft in 2 Decks with a Capacity of 525 Passengers for a flight duration of close to 13 Hours . Our flight schedule was at 2.30 PM on the 10 th of May . The Pehalgam Incident and the Subsequent skirmishes in the Border with a Full War likely to break out at any time had us at our very edge. Though a bit overcast , there is a pleasant breeze and you are enjoying the music on the Car's music System while cruising at 70 kmph .
