 Digital India ,  Envy of the World Among , many other shortcomings , being Tech Savvy has never been my forte . Save for the odd Mail or Blog on my Smartphone , my expertise with this Modern Technology is limited to the bare minimum.  Being in Canada for the last 8 Months , I keep hearing of the Giant strides that India and the Associated Technology has made. This  is  now the envy of the Entire World . Two or three of my own experience to this effect comes to mind . 1 ) Seated on the footpath below his very large umbrella at the MARATHAHALLI/ASHWATH NAGAR Junction in Bangalore is our SHOE REPAIRMAN accepting payment for the services rendered by him Via the Rupaye/Phonepay Channel . No worry about any issues regarding CHANGE for the balance . 2) I am almost at the fag end of my present Canada Visit .         PONGAL 2024 IN CANADA  The Celebrations of Pongal signifies the SUN moving into Capricorn called Makara Sankranthi in Sanskrit . In Tamil Pongal means ‘ to boil ‘ and this festival is observed as a gratitude event for the Harvest of the year . It is also a time to express thanks for the crops and rejoice the Warmth of the SUN GOD - SURYA . This is Celebrated across India under various names ,  Ironically I am now residing at an almost Diametrically and Geographically opposite part of the World in Canada at a much colder clime and in that part  of the year where the SUN is not at its brightest.  The Temperatures are mostly at the Sub Zero level and the Winter is at its harshest .  Pongal all the same is an occasion to Celebrate.                     PHOTOSHOP MAGIC I have always wondered at the ease with which the Protagonist on the Silver Screen Transform themselves in different frames in the same movie . Make up does play a part but the major transformation is taken care by the magic of the Photoshop .  A skinny and almost bald to an egg hero who is no less than 70 plus odd years old is transformed in to a Macho Young ,  Muscle Flexing , Six Pack Police Officer whose very look scares the day light out of the onlookers .  A 73 year old myself had a taste of this Magic . Photoshop had me transformed within almost a minute to a totally new looking person . Skin Colour , Blonde Hair and Eye Colour and in fact the Sex itself changed in a matter of a jiffy .  All this just goes to prove : NEVER BELIEVE WHAT YOU SEE IN A PICTURE , YOU NEVER KNOW IF IT IS PHOTO SHOPPED .
