 IPL 2022 FINAL RAJASTHAN ROYALS VERSUS GUJARAT                                            TITANS  I must admit that I have been a follower of Cricket right from my early School Days . Whatever the format , be it the Test Match , One Dayers or the  T20 Matches , I have followed them Keenly especially if India is in the contest . The INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE or the IPL has always been my favourite simply because it attracts all the best players in the business from across the cricketing World and CSK was and is always  my favourite Team .  Unfortunately CSK s fortune this season has not been good and its chances of making it to the play off stage were done and dusted at the halfway stage itself . This left me backing the RAJASTHAN ROYALS simply because they were the Right Royal  Underdogs . My recent move to Toronto meant that I had followed the First Half of the Tournament in VK PURAM , INDIA and the second half in the comfort of a 74 " TV at  AJAX - CANADA . Battle lines at home wer

 SETTLING IN A NEWHOUSE AT  AJAX - CANADA  We moved into the New House of my Son and Daughter In Law  and had the Grihapravesam of the same Recently at Ajax a suburb of Toronto in Canada . Some of you might remember me making a mention about a similar  House Warming Ceremony during my previous visit here in 2019 . With my Grandson in the 4 th Std and the arrival of our dear  Granddaughter plus our own almost annual visit to this place, a regular feature ,  required a move to a bigger and more spacious  location . This is a big 4 Bedroom complex with a Double Garage ; Patio , with a Metal Roofed fully functional GAZEBO. Added to this is the fully furnished and self contained Basement .  I had an occasion to come across an Original Vintage  Marconi Radio Set in my neighborhood at Ajax in Canada  , this has opened the floodgates of many fond memories of my youth with these instruments of Marvel . I am not sure if many of you would have heard of the term Valve Radio Receiver Set .  It used to be the sole mode of entertainment by way of listening to music via the Radio Signal through what used to be called an Aerial  from the Radio Station . It came with features which included Medium Wave + 3 or 5 Bands . More the Bands , higher the prices . FM did not even exist in those days . All India Radio and Vividh Bharathi came a very poor second to Radio Ceylon which had a huge audience in both Hindi and Tamil Languages . Being a commercial broadcaster , its ads for Indian Products were the only ones to be heard in those days . Their footprints date back a long time to Cambodia , Singapore , Malaysia , Indonesia , Brunei and the Caribbeans where they made it their home .           MUMBAI SIZZLER’S At Ajax Toronto                         Although this might sound rather strange , this is where we were headed for a Dinner , the occasion being the Birthday of Vandanaa .                                                       As the name of the Restaurant  itself suggests , if  the assembled crowd is anything to go by this Indian Eatery at Ajax seems to be a favourite to the large clientele from the Sub Continent in and around Ajax .                                          The buffet food was delicious and the kids had a whale of a time with all that was on offer . the Ice Cream and Dessert being the special attraction .
