 Digital India ,  Envy of the World

Among , many other shortcomings , being Tech Savvy has never been my forte . Save for the odd Mail or Blog on my Smartphone , my expertise with this Modern Technology is limited to the bare minimum. 

Being in Canada for the last 8 Months , I keep hearing of the Giant strides that India and the Associated Technology has made. This  is  now the envy of the Entire World .

Two or three of my own experience to this effect comes to mind .

1 ) Seated on the footpath below his very large umbrella at the MARATHAHALLI/ASHWATH NAGAR Junction in Bangalore is our SHOE REPAIRMAN accepting payment for the services rendered by him Via the Rupaye/Phonepay Channel . No worry about any issues regarding CHANGE for the balance .

2) I am almost at the fag end of my present Canada Visit . The ease with which I could make Reservations for my Train Journey from Chennai to Tirunelveli by the IRCTC APP from Toronto in Canada was a welcome cakewalk . The days when we had to spend the night in a queue at Mumbai Victoria Terminus Station to book our Ticket to Chennai and then to Tirunelveli came to mind .



3) The ease with which I could activate my AIRTEL Mobile Phone even when in Canada was a big Surprise .

4) That SBI PLATINUM DEBIT CARD Enabled purchase of goods at Various stores or Malls and that helped you to  withdraw Cash in US $ when in the US or in CAD when in Canada was a great help .

NO WONDER EVRYONE LOOKS AT WE INDIANS WITH AWE .

 AYODHYA YAATRA  DAY - ONE     Sundar Holiday Travels  As instructed  by Mr Ashok of Sunder Travels , we were dot on time at 9.00 thanks primarily due to smooth flow of traffic from Vadapalani to the Chennai  Airport .  Other Yatrees also slowly trooped in . Ashok seemed to have his way with the Indigo Airways . Group Check in saved us a lot of time . Lunch packet Distribution done we were on our way and were before time at Lucknow .  Lucknow was a lot different from what I had imagined , airport was spotlessly clean as was their baggage handling services .  Mr Ashok saw to it that we were off on a Bus to Ayodhya in a flash . Ayodhya Yaatraa Day -3 - 704

                  Ayodhya Yatra - Day 3  The highlight of the day was to be the Holy Dip in the Triveni Sangamam .  For the uninformed Triveni Sangamam is the place where the Three Rivers Ganga Yamuna and Saraswathy converge into one . It is the place where Veni Daanam is given after a bath in the River .  The 20 Minute Boat Ride takes you to this place of convergence of these three rivers . The Boatmen help you to take a dip in the water . Old set of clothes are discarded symbolising the discarding of everything bad and the start of a new fresh life .  Ganga is slightly murky while the Yamuna is clearer , Saraswathy is Antervaahini and it converges under water .  The Dhambadhi Pooja after the Dip in the Holy Waters  was performed with all the diligence that the occasion demands .  VAIKOM VISIT - IN GODS OWN                     COUNTRY  Kerala has always been my favourite place of visit over the years . Its cleanliness , its greenery,  waterways , not to forget its spirituality and beautiful people in more ways than one  have always held  a special attraction for  me . We , that is me and my Better Half have visited Kerala before  and visited many of  its  Temples and Tourist Attractions.  One place missing in this list has been the Viakom  Sri Mahadeva Temple . We decided to embark  on  a visit to this place and Mami was spot on to point out that there was a direct Train from Ambasamudram to Vaikom Road by the 16792 Palaruvi Express starting from ASD at 11.57 PM and reaching Vaikom Road Station at 7.30 Am the next morning .
