WEDDING GIFT , HOW WAS THE MOVIE BROTHER - 8





The Incident  being cited below is during  the
   PRE - COVID AND LOCKDOWN ERA . Marriage and Wedding Reception were places where friends and relatives gathered in large numbers to wish the Newly Wedded couple . Masks and Sanitizers found  a place only in the Dictionary or else when you Googled  . Its use was restricted to those in the elite medical profession  .

Weddings were just fun places in which everyone wanted to be a part of the celebrations  and enjoy the togetherness of loved and near ones .

THE WEDDING GIFT WITH A DIFFERENCE .

There was a huge pile of Gifts and Presents at the Wedding Reception of Suraj and Sharmista . In fact a mini van had to be engaged to shift the many huge presents from the Marriage Hall at VKP to their Residence at AGASTHIARPATTY.  Even as  they were opening the various boxes a couple of days later  , one particular gift item  caught their attention . Beautifully gift wrapped was a Dazzling stone embedded Necklace for Sharmista and an equally attractive Pearl Eyed  Cuff - Link for Suraj . What made the present even more exciting was a Cinema ticket for the two of them for the Blockbuster Movie 
  " THIRUDA - THIRUDA - 2  " the next weekend at the Posh New BOMBAY THEATER IN TIRUNELVELI in  and a Lunch to go with it at the JANAKIRAM HOTEL before the Movie . The ONLY surprising thing was that it did not mention the name of the person making the present except to say
" GUESS WHO , YOUR TRUE WELL WISHER "
The couple in spite of all their TRY  could not come to a conclusion regarding the person who could have come up with the Unique  present .

Came Sunday and the couple saw the Movie   "THIRUDA THIRUDA - 2 " at the posh theater and the lunch to go with it .

The happy couple returned home only to see that all the valuables in their house had been stolen with a neatly placed placard that said 

 HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE MOVIE AND THE LUNCH 

                         
                   

THE COUPLE FINALLY REALIZED AS TO WHO HAD MADE THE LOVELY PRESENT.


Moral of the story:FREEBIES ARE GIVEN ONLY TO EXPLOIT YOU AND THAT NOTHING IS EVER  GIVEN FREE IN THIS WIDE -  WIDE WORLD .

 AYODHYA YAATRA  DAY - ONE     Sundar Holiday Travels  As instructed  by Mr Ashok of Sunder Travels , we were dot on time at 9.00 thanks primarily due to smooth flow of traffic from Vadapalani to the Chennai  Airport .  Other Yatrees also slowly trooped in . Ayodhya Yaatraa Day -3 - 704

                  Ayodhya Yatra - Day 3  The highlight of the day was to be the Holy Dip in the Triveni Sangamam .  For the uninformed Triveni Sangamam is the place where the Three Rivers Ganga Yamuna and Saraswathy converge into one . It is the place where Veni Daanam is given after a bath in the River .  The 20 Minute Boat Ride takes you to this place of convergence of these three rivers . The Boatmen help you to take a dip in the water . Old set of clothes are discarded symbolising the discarding of everything bad and the start of a new fresh life .  Ganga is slightly murky while the Yamuna is clearer , Saraswathy is Antervaahini and it converges under water .  The Dhambadhi Pooja after the Dip in the Holy Waters  was performed with all the diligence that the occasion demands .  VAIKOM VISIT - IN GODS OWN                     COUNTRY  Kerala has always been my favourite place of visit over the years . Its cleanliness , its greenery,  waterways , not to forget its spirituality and beautiful people in more ways than one  have always held  a special attraction for  me . We , that is me and my Better Half have visited Kerala before  and visited many of  its  Temples and Tourist Attractions.  One place missing in this list has been the Viakom  Sri Mahadeva Temple . We decided to embark  on  a visit to this place and Mami was spot on to point out that there was a direct Train from Ambasamudram to Vaikom Road by the 16792 Palaruvi Express starting from ASD at 11.57 PM and reaching Vaikom Road Station at 7.30 Am the next morning .
