HOMESTAY STARTUP AT AMBASAMUDRAM - 39

Homestay ventures have been at the back of my mind for some time now . My firsthand expierence of having stayed at such places at both Horanadu and Uddupi with its  almost homelike ambience and the food to go with it has made the stay a memorable one .
This has set me thinking about the feasibility of providing such a facility at my own place here at Agasthiarpatty near Ambasamudram . This place can rightly claim to be one of the best places of tourist interest for tourists in all age groups .

My home , though not of the luxury  variety is surely a comfortable one with all facilities and also at an ideal location .

With this in mind , i approached the Marathadi Josier at kallinai and he has said that now was  the best time to start the venture and that the 29 th, 30 th or even the 31 st of this month were very auspicious to start the venture .
So friends , word of mouth as they say is the best advertisement for any product .

 AYODHYA YAATRA  DAY - ONE     Sundar Holiday Travels  As instructed  by Mr Ashok of Sunder Travels , we were dot on time at 9.00 thanks primarily due to smooth flow of traffic from Vadapalani to the Chennai  Airport .  Other Yatrees also slowly trooped in . Ashok seemed to have his way with the Indigo Airways . Group Check in saved us a lot of time . Ayodhya Yaatraa Day -3 - 704

                  Ayodhya Yatra - Day 3  The highlight of the day was to be the Holy Dip in the Triveni Sangamam .  For the uninformed Triveni Sangamam is the place where the Three Rivers Ganga Yamuna and Saraswathy converge into one . It is the place where Veni Daanam is given after a bath in the River .  The 20 Minute Boat Ride takes you to this place of convergence of these three rivers . The Boatmen help you to take a dip in the water . Old set of clothes are discarded symbolising the discarding of everything bad and the start of a new fresh life .  Ganga is slightly murky while the Yamuna is clearer , Saraswathy is Antervaahini and it converges under water .  The Dhambadhi Pooja after the Dip in the Holy Waters  was performed with all the diligence that the occasion demands .  VAIKOM VISIT - IN GODS OWN                     COUNTRY  Kerala has always been my favourite place of visit over the years . Its cleanliness , its greenery,  waterways , not to forget its spirituality and beautiful people in more ways than one  have always held  a special attraction for  me . We , that is me and my Better Half have visited Kerala before  and visited many of  its  Temples and Tourist Attractions.  One place missing in this list has been the Viakom  Sri Mahadeva Temple . We decided to embark  on  a visit to this place and Mami was spot on to point out that there was a direct Train from Ambasamudram to Vaikom Road by the 16792 Palaruvi Express starting from ASD at 11.57 PM and reaching Vaikom Road Station at 7.30 Am the next morning .
