Name Boards for the houses at Toronto and Regina were handcrafted and made at a woodwork furniture unit at Sivanthipuram between Ambasamudram and VK Puram in India . It sure feels nice to see a work of art from India on display in Canada in Son/Daughters Houses .

                  Ayodhya Yatra - Day 3  The highlight of the day was to be the Holy Dip in the Triveni Sangamam .  For the uninformed Triveni Sangamam is the place where the Three Rivers Ganga Yamuna and Saraswathy converge into one . It is the place where Veni Daanam is given after a bath in the River .  The 20 Minute Boat Ride takes you to this place of convergence of these three rivers . The Boatmen help you to take a dip in the water . Old set of clothes are discarded symbolising the discarding of everything bad and the start of a new fresh life .  Ganga is slightly murky while the Yamuna is clearer , Saraswathy is Antervaahini and it converges under water .  The Dhambadhi Pooja after the Dip in the Holy Waters  was performed with all the diligence that the occasion demands .  Here i am , a Retired Person nearing the three quarters of the Century Mark  , musing about the many  childhood dreams . There are many things which have caught my fancy as a schoolgoing kid and later on in the teens. It is only fair to say that Some of those Important  Dreams , thanks to the lord above have been realized and and sadly there are parts of the same that  are never going to see the light of the day . The early part of my teens was at a place called Kharapur in W Bengal .Now, dont get me wrong , it was not at the IIT for which the place is  obviously more famous for the World over , but the Railway Colony of which my Father was very much a part. I did my schooling at the Railway Mixed Higher Secondary School there. My fathers previous posting among a lot many other places  was at a place called Chakradharpur in Bihar and my early  schooling was entirely  in the Hindi Medium. Ayodhya Yaatraa Day 4 -705

           AYODHYA YAATRA - DAY 4 One’s visit to Varanasi , Kashi or The Benaras of the past is considered as meaningless without visiting the Ghats and taking a Holy Dip in Ganges or Ma Ganga .  2nd September was even more special as it is the day of SOMAVARA AMMAVSSAI . This day is considered special for offering Tarpanam and offering the same on the Banks of the Ganga is considered even more special .  We started at  5.00 AM and headed to the Hanuman Ghat . Lo and behold the river was flowing in all its might and as the name suggests flowing from South to the  North . This I am told is the only place in its long Journey where the Ganges proceeds in its long passage across the Hills and Plains in this direction . This brought back our memories of the same Hanuman Ghat 8 years Back and our stay at The Sankara Madam along with my Sambandhees .  Hanuman Ghat is a long Ghat or Padi Thurai where the 70 of us assembled .
