In these Covid 19 Lockdown Days , a large part of the day is spent on the Sofa in the Living Room . Reading the newspaper , watching the various programs on the TV , on your laptop or mobile or such other devices by staying seated on the sofa .
For some medically proven reason , being low on physical activity , you start gaining weight which is more pronounced around the waist and shoulder area .
As you age , the increase in weight and also a reduction in the fleshy part of your buttocks leave you spending most of the time on the sofa on your bones . This , as can be imagined is a very painful experience .
The Sofa in my House is almost 15 years old and the cushion effect is almost nil as the sponge and choir stuffings are in tatters. For obvious reasons , age being the primary factor we had decided to manage with the sofa on hand for some more time . And as the back pain slowly started becoming unbearable , we had to opt for a change of the Sofa Set .
On the first day , the relaxation in LOCKDOWN was announced , we visited the
SKM GLOBAL WORLD FURNITURE STORE
at Ambasamudram . A bargain was quickly struck at Rs 8000 for the sofa set to be delivered the next morning with the payment via the Debit Card mode .
Around noon the next day , the 3 pieces Sofa Set was delivered home and payment made with the Debit Card at the second attempt . I immediately checked through net banking and confirmed that Rs 8000 /- had been debited from my account .
The Picture of the new set is attached for my Son and Daughter s benefit in Canada .
Yesterday afternoon , I received a Call from the Furniture Shop asking me to check my net banking account for any discrepancy in accounting. On checking I found that Rs 8000 /- had been debited from my account twice . I had obviously not taken the second message recieved seriously . The second debit had taken place after my check after making the Debit Card Payment . Being a weekend they promised to make the bank transfer of Rs 8000/- early this week .
THE AMOUNT OF Rs 8000/- WAS RETURNED

SKM GLOBAL FURNITURE SURELY DESERVE A HUGE APPLAUSE FOR THEIR EFFORTS TO REFUND THE MONEY . I MIGHT HAVE COME TO KNOW OF THE DISCREPANCY AT A LATER DATE AND WOULD HAVE HAD TO RUN FROM PILLAR TO POST TO REDEEM THE MONEY .
