     HARD TO SEE THESE PEOPLE ANYMORE 

When You sit back and take a trip down the memory lane and  turn back the clock to your school days , there will be many items and people who you dealt with on a daily basis  and who are sadly missing now. Those born in the present Millennium will not even believe  that such type people or facilities ever existed in the first place .

The Chana Badam Wala , Ice Cream  kutchi  ice ) , Sheng Dana Wala , The Mens Tailor ,   Cycle Hire Shop , Puncture Repair Shop , The cobbler or Shoe Repair Shop , The Boot Polish Man , The Fruit Seller in the Bandy , Cut Mango pieces Seller .

All the above are people who we all grew up with and had regular interactions with during our growing up years .  Sadly , these people can be seen in only pictures or movies  now . The use and throw practice and change in our choice of eating preferences has put paid to these people and their livelihoods.  

To soothe the memories of the times gone bye , pictures of people or their occupations are being shared for those born in this millennium.

MOST OF THESE HAVE ALREADY DISAPPEARED AND THE FEW OTHERS THAT ARE STILL THERE ARE GOING TO FOLLOW SUIT SOON

 AYODHYA YAATRA  DAY - ONE     Sundar Holiday Travels  As instructed  by Mr Ashok of Sunder Travels , we were dot on time at 9.00 thanks primarily due to smooth flow of traffic from Vadapalani to the Chennai  Airport .  Other Yatrees also slowly trooped in . Ashok seemed to have his way with the Indigo Airways . Group Check in saved us a lot of time . Lunch packet Distribution done we were on our way and were before time at Lucknow .  Lucknow was a lot different from what I had imagined , airport was spotlessly clean as was their baggage handling services .  Mr Ashok saw to it that we were off on a Bus to Ayodhya in a flash . Ayodhya Yaatraa Day -3 - 704

                  Ayodhya Yatra - Day 3  The highlight of the day was to be the Holy Dip in the Triveni Sangamam .  For the uninformed Triveni Sangamam is the place where the Three Rivers Ganga Yamuna and Saraswathy converge into one . It is the place where Veni Daanam is given after a bath in the River .  The 20 Minute Boat Ride takes you to this place of convergence of these three rivers . The Boatmen help you to take a dip in the water . Old set of clothes are discarded symbolising the discarding of everything bad and the start of a new fresh life .  Ganga is slightly murky while the Yamuna is clearer , Saraswathy is Antervaahini and it converges under water .  The Dhambadhi Pooja after the Dip in the Holy Waters  was performed with all the diligence that the occasion demands .  VAIKOM VISIT - IN GODS OWN                     COUNTRY  Kerala has always been my favourite place of visit over the years . Its cleanliness , its greenery,  waterways , not to forget its spirituality and beautiful people in more ways than one  have always held  a special attraction for  me . We , that is me and my Better Half have visited Kerala before  and visited many of  its  Temples and Tourist Attractions.  One place missing in this list has been the Viakom  Sri Mahadeva Temple . We decided to embark  on  a visit to this place and Mami was spot on to point out that there was a direct Train from Ambasamudram to Vaikom Road by the 16792 Palaruvi Express starting from ASD at 11.57 PM and reaching Vaikom Road Station at 7.30 Am the next morning .
