Finding replacements for established performers , be it an Organization , Establishment , Manufacturing unit or a Sporting outfit like Tennis , Football or Cricket is never an easy task .

The just concluded INDIA - AUSTRALIA Test Series is a case in point where this has been proved wrong .

VIRAT KOHLI  returning home on Paternal Leave , KL RAHUL MOHAMMAD SHAMI JASPRIT BUMRAH HANUMA VIHARI RAVICHANDRAN ASHWIN VRIDHIMAN SAHA RAVINDRA JADEJA UMESH YADAV all rendered Hors de combat due to injuries while facing the deadly bullets fired by one of the best bowling attacks in the world made a very bleak and scarry picture for the ongoing series .

Any other team would have called it a day and perished in a heap  but not this one . SHUBMAN GILL , RISHAB PANT , SHARDUL THAKUR , WASHINGTON SUNDER , MOHAMAD SIRAJ , NADARAJAN all Rookies under the stewardship of a new but shrewd captain in Ajinkya Rehane went on to script one of the all time greatest  TEST SERIES WINS for India or for that matter anyone .

Surprising , this almost assembly line filling up of the replacements of the Established stars  !!!

RAHUL DRAVID remains the common thread  behind the coming home of all these new stars . They have all been under his care as their INDIA A and UNDER 19 COACH .

This Unassuming Cricketer who prefers to shy away from the limelight is the  , 

TRUE HERO OF THIS STUPENDOUS WIN

    All sports are unpredictable and Indians are even more unpredictable. Yes they did a good job and deserve kudos. But to euologize would be a mistake because before you know it, they can disappoint.

    A sport is a sport. It was our day that day. That's all it was. It's true that zeitgeist plays a role and it did that day

 AYODHYA YAATRA  DAY - ONE     Sundar Holiday Travels  As instructed  by Mr Ashok of Sunder Travels , we were dot on time at 9.00 thanks primarily due to smooth flow of traffic from Vadapalani to the Chennai  Airport .  Other Yatrees also slowly trooped in . Ashok seemed to have his way with the Indigo Airways . Group Check in saved us a lot of time .                   Ayodhya Yatra - Day 3  The highlight of the day was to be the Holy Dip in the Triveni Sangamam .  For the uninformed Triveni Sangamam is the place where the Three Rivers Ganga Yamuna and Saraswathy converge into one . It is the place where Veni Daanam is given after a bath in the River .  The 20 Minute Boat Ride takes you to this place of convergence of these three rivers . The Boatmen help you to take a dip in the water . Old set of clothes are discarded symbolising the discarding of everything bad and the start of a new fresh life .  Ganga is slightly murky while the Yamuna is clearer , Saraswathy is Antervaahini and it converges under water .  The Dhambadhi Pooja after the Dip in the Holy Waters  was performed with all the diligence that the occasion demands .  VAIKOM VISIT - IN GODS OWN                     COUNTRY  Kerala has always been my favourite place of visit over the years . Its cleanliness , its greenery,  waterways , not to forget its spirituality and beautiful people in more ways than one  have always held  a special attraction for  me . We , that is me and my Better Half have visited Kerala before  and visited many of  its  Temples and Tourist Attractions.  One place missing in this list has been the Viakom  Sri Mahadeva Temple . We decided to embark  on  a visit to this place and Mami was spot on to point out that there was a direct Train from Ambasamudram to Vaikom Road by the 16792 Palaruvi Express starting from ASD at 11.57 PM and reaching Vaikom Road Station at 7.30 Am the next morning .
