 HOW GOOD A SPHEPHOLOGIST AM I

With my family tree spread across the Globe and me  almost at the very SOUTHERN tip of the Country , and  about 100 kms from the Comorin bay , cousins , nephews and nieces often elicit my views on the BJP s chances at the hustings which is just around the corner .

So folks , here I am , with my thinking cap on to  play  a SPHEPHOLOGIST , 

First things first , I have very bad news for legions of my family supporters for Mr Modi and the BJP which according to me is going to come out biting the dust with hardly any seat to its name .

The Dravidian Parties over the years have used THREE instruments to garner support from the masses . LIQUOR- FREEBIES AND RESERVATIONS have been the backbone of their support base .

LIQUOR: 

The party bigwigs of both the Dravidian parties own almost all the big Distilleries . With the free flow of Liquor across the state with the Govt itself doing the marketting from its TASMAC OUTLETS , more and more people and the youngsters in particular are getting addicted to alcohol .

When you are the Manufacturer of a product which is in great demand across all the strata and where you decide the price at which this is to be sold from the  shops which are under your control , the scale of the profits cannot even be imagined. The bread as they say is buttered on all sides which includes even the crumbby sides . The masses unfortunately get increasingly addicted and incapable of doing any productive work .

FREEBIES :

With Diwali and Pongal an annual affair , freebies are a great way to appease the masses . Panchayat , Assembly and Lok Sabha Elections where people reap the bumper harvest of CASH  /FAN /MIXIE GRINDER /TELEVISION SET/ CYCLE and the list is almost endless as new items get added every election  . The youth of the area are reluctant to take up jobs at the lower end of the spectrum  in the many  maufacturing or construction occupations. This leaves the job seekers from far off North East or Hindi Heartland to take up these jobs and that too at much lower rates . Ambasamudram has its own share of these workers . A dozen or so workmen are engaged in the Hollow Block Manufacturing unit near my house . The chef in the Vada Paav section of the hotel is a Bihari as are the other hands employed for serving and cleaning .

RESERVATIONS :

Reservations are a big hit  here . It would be almost next to impossible to find a person around his thirties from the communities which the Dravidian parties detest in any Govt or Govt Affiliated Office or  Establishments . What this entails is that you have persons with much lower credentials lording over key and important posts. Avenues to make easy money by employing dubious means is an open invitation . Hardly any work gets done in Govt offices without the dough changing hands . Almost all families have one or more of their dear ones in these prized offices .

Why bother to vote for the BJP which aims to bring all these malpractices to an end .

WHY KILL THE GOOSE THAT IS LAYING THE GOLDEN EGG FOR A VAST MAJORITY .
