 INDIA - THE PHARMA CAPITAL OF THE                                     WORLD 



COVISHIELD AND COVAXIN are fast becoming the all new Mantra of the entire world . These two CORONA 19  VACCINES produced in India at POONA and HYDERABAD after painstaking research in a record time has had  the whole world looking at us in awe and admiration .

The phase one of the vaccination drive which covers the Doctors , Nurses and other  frontline line workers who are in direct contact with the pandemic afflicted unfortunate one's are the first one's to get the shot .

IMDA , WHO were the first to recognize the efficacy of the Vaccines vis a vis the safety parameters . Its ability to be stored at comparatively easier and manageable temperatures has made it  even more attractive . The BNT Vaccine from Pfizer needs to be stored at ( - 20 Degrees ) which is a difficult proposition in a country of India's  size and population . 

The second phase is scheduled for persons above the age of 60 and the third phase for the rest of the entire Indian Population. 

The way the dry run was carried out and the actual vaccination drive now in progress  is being admired by the entire world . India and PM Modi are now  looked at as the saviors of the fight against the pandemic .

NEPAL .BHUTAN .BANGLADESH .SAUDI ARABIA. DUBAI . MYANMAR . SOUTH AFRICA.  BRAZIL . MOROCCO and SRI LANKA are just the first list of countries which are being supplied by the vaccines from India . Important point to note here is that this is being supplied to many countries as an Aid in difficult times . Another important point to note here is that India alone  will be providing for 60% of the Entire  World's vaccine requirement .

Back home , barring TAMILNADU and PUNJAB which somehow seems to detest Mr Modi or any initiative taken by his Government ,  even if it is at the cost of their own lives or their immediate near and dear ones   makes a sad reading . It  matters little  if  rest of the world or the rest of India believe that there is something good in taking the jab to  fight the Pandemic . The point that , they are also risking other people's lives besides their own has sadly not sunk in yet .

 AYODHYA YAATRA  DAY - ONE     Sundar Holiday Travels  As instructed  by Mr Ashok of Sunder Travels , we were dot on time at 9.00 thanks primarily due to smooth flow of traffic from Vadapalani to the Chennai  Airport .  Other Yatrees also slowly trooped in . Ashok seemed to have his way with the Indigo Airways . Group Check in saved us a lot of time . Lunch packet Distribution done we were on our way and were before time at Lucknow .  Lucknow was a lot different from what I had imagined , airport was spotlessly clean as was their baggage handling services .  Mr Ashok saw to it that we were off on a Bus to Ayodhya in a flash . Ayodhya Yaatraa Day -3 - 704

                  Ayodhya Yatra - Day 3  The highlight of the day was to be the Holy Dip in the Triveni Sangamam .  For the uninformed Triveni Sangamam is the place where the Three Rivers Ganga Yamuna and Saraswathy converge into one . It is the place where Veni Daanam is given after a bath in the River .  The 20 Minute Boat Ride takes you to this place of convergence of these three rivers . The Boatmen help you to take a dip in the water . Old set of clothes are discarded symbolising the discarding of everything bad and the start of a new fresh life .  Ganga is slightly murky while the Yamuna is clearer , Saraswathy is Antervaahini and it converges under water .  The Dhambadhi Pooja after the Dip in the Holy Waters  was performed with all the diligence that the occasion demands .  VAIKOM VISIT - IN GODS OWN                     COUNTRY  Kerala has always been my favourite place of visit over the years . Its cleanliness , its greenery,  waterways , not to forget its spirituality and beautiful people in more ways than one  have always held  a special attraction for  me . We , that is me and my Better Half have visited Kerala before  and visited many of  its  Temples and Tourist Attractions.  One place missing in this list has been the Viakom  Sri Mahadeva Temple . We decided to embark  on  a visit to this place and Mami was spot on to point out that there was a direct Train from Ambasamudram to Vaikom Road by the 16792 Palaruvi Express starting from ASD at 11.57 PM and reaching Vaikom Road Station at 7.30 Am the next morning .
