ARE WE INDIANS SAAPAATTU RAMANS OR GASTRONOMES - 288

ARE WE INDIANS GASTRONOMIC     SAAPAATTU     RAAMANS

We have all had our share of a hearty laugh whenever the joke about the Chettan in his stripped lungi being present at the mountain top  to welcome Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay as they first set foot on Mount Everest at  290002 Feet above Sea Level and enquiring if the CHAAYA OR TEA should be light or strong is shared between friends.

The story about Neil Armstrong setting his foot on the surface of the MOON is even more intriguing and comical . Our Sardar Gabbar Singh  in his quaint essential loose attire and flowing beard in front of his eatery which he reverently calls NAANAK DA DHABA is there to enquire from NEIL ARMSTRONG reportedly the first MAN to set his feet on the surface of the MOON if he would like his food to be slightly or heavily spiced .

Jokes apart we Indians love our food and would travel any distance irrespective of the trouble , time or cost  involved to satiate our  tummy or tastebuds . I have Travelled widely across the Globe and I too seem to belong to this happy tribe and have partaken food from many if not all of the joints below .

All the Eateries Mentioned above do thriving business and during weekends it is almost impossible to find a place without prior reservations .
