 PADDY FIELD A MONTH 

BEFORE HARVEST TIME 


There was this looming threat of everything coming to naught because of the  rains and flooding ,  continuous rains in   Ambasamudram around the same time last month . The TV updates of vast stretches of agricultural land completely flooded and going to waste did give a worrysome and  scarry picture .


The threat of all the labour , effort and love put into to nurture the crop getting destroyed was always behind everyone's mind .  The money invested to raise the crop in these hard covid times where labour is hard to come bye and the  threat of  money invested to raise the crop   going down the drain was also behind everyone's mind .

Thankfully , things have taken a turn for the better and no serious damage is seen in the crop which is awaiting Harvest sometime next month  in these parts .

THE LABOUR AND EFFORT PUT IN  SEEM TO BE BEARING FRUIT

 AYODHYA YAATRA  DAY - ONE     Sundar Holiday Travels  As instructed  by Mr Ashok of Sunder Travels , we were dot on time at 9.00 thanks primarily due to smooth flow of traffic from Vadapalani to the Chennai  Airport .  Other Yatrees also slowly trooped in . Ayodhya Yaatraa Day -3 - 704

                  Ayodhya Yatra - Day 3  The highlight of the day was to be the Holy Dip in the Triveni Sangamam .  For the uninformed Triveni Sangamam is the place where the Three Rivers Ganga Yamuna and Saraswathy converge into one . It is the place where Veni Daanam is given after a bath in the River .  The 20 Minute Boat Ride takes you to this place of convergence of these three rivers . The Boatmen help you to take a dip in the water . Old set of clothes are discarded symbolising the discarding of everything bad and the start of a new fresh life .  Ganga is slightly murky while the Yamuna is clearer , Saraswathy is Antervaahini and it converges under water .  The Dhambadhi Pooja after the Dip in the Holy Waters  was performed with all the diligence that the occasion demands .  VAIKOM VISIT - IN GODS OWN                     COUNTRY  Kerala has always been my favourite place of visit over the years . Its cleanliness , its greenery,  waterways , not to forget its spirituality and beautiful people in more ways than one  have always held  a special attraction for  me . We , that is me and my Better Half have visited Kerala before  and visited many of  its  Temples and Tourist Attractions.  One place missing in this list has been the Viakom  Sri Mahadeva Temple . We decided to embark  on  a visit to this place and Mami was spot on to point out that there was a direct Train from Ambasamudram to Vaikom Road by the 16792 Palaruvi Express starting from ASD at 11.57 PM and reaching Vaikom Road Station at 7.30 Am the next morning .
