FREE PHENOL IN PLACE OF COFFEE - 292

  HOW OPPORTUNISTIC  CAN                WE BECOME 

The recent spate of frenzied  forwards in the social media of the Template for  the application form of a FREE BUS PASS saw a huge sharing and a call for all above 65 years to make use of the same . I thought that this praiseworthy scheme of the Government of Tamilnadu was for the unfortunate ones  under the BPL or Below Poverty Line  . From what I could make out a Household having an income of less than Rs 78000 per annum are classified to be under the below  poverty level  . I could be way off the mark here .

What I sincerely feel and hope is that quite a lot of us would not be normally eligible to avail this benefit . Those who are please do make use of the benefit . Others just please ponder for a second ,

We Indians for some strange reason will leave no stone unturned to get hold of anything that is given free . The joke , COFFEE KI BADILAHA PHENOL FREE YAA KUDUTHA KOODA VAANGUVAANGA in Tamil comes to mind .

What comes as a shock even more is the reluctance to collectively realize  that   each Rupee that the undeserving eat up from the benefits earmarked for the Unfortunate BPL members deprive them of benefits which is rightfully theirs. For want of a more subtle word ,  I shun from using the word  Robbing the poor to describe the same .

One should not shy away from the fact that nothing in this world comes free . Someone , somewhere has to pay something big and really big for every small item that we get as free in this world .

Nothing , absolutely nothing Man Made is free in this world .  The items that are truly free like the air we breathe ; the water in our rivers , the fruits in the trees  are all mercy of the One Above , some prefer to call him Shiva or Allah or Jesus or by any other suitable name of the land . The Pahuttu Arivaalis or the Non Believers of Tamil Nadu also have their own term for the same which I will not even pretend to know .

Every other item made by MAN or Services Rendered by him comes at a price .

 The Government of the day is not a business establishment and  by itself it does not produce even a SINGLE  RUPEE . All that it does is collect money as Taxes and so forth . How it makes use of the money collected to address the needs of the people is the all important art of a Successful Government . 

Let us lend a helping hand to the Government in our own small way in its efforts to better the lives of our BPL counterparts by shying away from anything doled out as FREE .

 AYODHYA YAATRA  DAY - ONE     Sundar Holiday Travels  As instructed  by Mr Ashok of Sunder Travels , we were dot on time at 9.00 thanks primarily due to smooth flow of traffic from Vadapalani to the Chennai  Airport .  Other Yatrees also slowly trooped in . Ayodhya Yaatraa Day -3 - 704

                  Ayodhya Yatra - Day 3  The highlight of the day was to be the Holy Dip in the Triveni Sangamam .  For the uninformed Triveni Sangamam is the place where the Three Rivers Ganga Yamuna and Saraswathy converge into one . It is the place where Veni Daanam is given after a bath in the River .  The 20 Minute Boat Ride takes you to this place of convergence of these three rivers . The Boatmen help you to take a dip in the water . Old set of clothes are discarded symbolising the discarding of everything bad and the start of a new fresh life .  Ganga is slightly murky while the Yamuna is clearer , Saraswathy is Antervaahini and it converges under water .  The Dhambadhi Pooja after the Dip in the Holy Waters  was performed with all the diligence that the occasion demands .  VAIKOM VISIT - IN GODS OWN                     COUNTRY  Kerala has always been my favourite place of visit over the years . Its cleanliness , its greenery,  waterways , not to forget its spirituality and beautiful people in more ways than one  have always held  a special attraction for  me . We , that is me and my Better Half have visited Kerala before  and visited many of  its  Temples and Tourist Attractions.  One place missing in this list has been the Viakom  Sri Mahadeva Temple . We decided to embark  on  a visit to this place and Mami was spot on to point out that there was a direct Train from Ambasamudram to Vaikom Road by the 16792 Palaruvi Express starting from ASD at 11.57 PM and reaching Vaikom Road Station at 7.30 Am the next morning .
