Second Dose Covieshield Vaccine Taken - 308

 Dear Sir , 

At the very outset I tender my sincere apologies for being hasty and finding fault with the delay in the 2 nd dose of being administered with Covishield Vaccine .

Within minutes of sending my last  mail to you, I recieved a call from Vairavikulam PHC asking me to present myself for the second dose .

Considering the fact that this is a small nondescript village , the care taken to render service in thase testing times and also considering the huge numbers involved , this does call for raising your hand in appreciation of the pains and efforts taken .

THREE CHEERS TO THE MEDICAL AND     ALLIED FRATERNITY FOR MAKING THIS                                        HAPPEN 

LETTER ADDRESSED TO HON  UNION HEALTH MINISTER 


Dear Sir , 

SHORTAGE OF COVISHIELD VACCINE FOR 2ND 
                                DOSE 

It is in great distress that I write this letter . In fact I was the first person to laud your Leadership and our Dear PMs initiative after Self and Wife took our 1st Covieshield jab on the 2nd of March 2021 , just a day after our PM initiated the mass vaccination drive for all above 65 yrs of age . I am 70 and my wife is 68 years old .

We stay in a small village called Agasthiarpatty in Tamilnadu which is far removed from any big city .
Our 2nd dose is already due 3 days back . Both of us have been making all efforts to get ourselves vaccinated braving the scorching sun and also the 2nd wave which is spreading fast . With both our children abroad , we face a very grim situation and seek your help in addressing our precarious position and would like to get ourselves vaccinated before the expiry of the due date .

GOVID 19 VACCINATION MARCH SECOND 2021

Consider This ; Phase Two of PM Modi s plan to Vaccinate 10 Crore People in the fight against COVID 19 for all those aged above 60 years is humongous if nothing else  . The huge population involved , the size of the nation with its varied terrain , the requirement of the vaccine being in 2 doses 28 days apart , the need for the vaccine to be stored at a particular cool temperature , the general apathy of the public at large to be vaccinated in the first place all add up to make the whole excercise as something which only a man out of his senses whould embark upon .

PM Modi has been steadfast in his resolve to face the crisis and has been the pillar of encouragement to all the scientists and researchers who have been successful in developing not one but two vaccines in a record time . India and PM Modi are now being looked as saviors and the Indian vaccines are in great demand the world over .

PM Modi set an example by choosing COVAXINE , the less preferred of the two vaccines and had a shot of it administered as the first man in phase two and kickstarted it for the whole nation to follow . 

Back to the scenario closer home at AGASTHIARPATTY, cowin.gov.in gave the place where the Vaccine are being given close to my place of abode as Vairavikulam Ugphc near Kallidaikurichy . To be very frank , though I have been close to these parts for almost 50 years now , I have never seen this place before . Set in the middle of almost nowhere , this Upgraded Public Health Center is a huge complex and caters to dozens of villages and settlements all around . The fact that it is Internet enabled is even more of a surprise .

The mandatory Aadhar and one more Photo ID check was done and the mobile Number noted . The nurses were very cordial and COVISHIELD vaccine was administered as an injection . Surprise of Surprises there was a message in my mobile that i have been vaccinated with COVISHIELD and could contact the nurse ( HER NAME AND MOBILE NUMBER INCLUDED ) if required at any time  . The ease with which the whole process took place has left me in total awe of our PM . That a person from a   nondescript and remote Agasthiarpatty could avail such an advanced service from a totally unheard of place like VAIRAVIKULAM is awesome  . All this totally free makes it almost unimaginable . You can cry your throat hoarse at the petrol prices touching the Rs 100 mark . You know where the money is being spent .





 
Sir , sincce we think the time is running out both for me and the due date  , we seek your early help in this regard .

Ayodhya Yaatraa Day -3 - 704

                  Ayodhya Yatra - Day 3  The highlight of the day was to be the Holy Dip in the Triveni Sangamam .  For the uninformed Triveni Sangamam is the place where the Three Rivers Ganga Yamuna and Saraswathy converge into one . It is the place where Veni Daanam is given after a bath in the River .  The 20 Minute Boat Ride takes you to this place of convergence of these three rivers . The Boatmen help you to take a dip in the water . Old set of clothes are discarded symbolising the discarding of everything bad and the start of a new fresh life .  Ganga is slightly murky while the Yamuna is clearer , Saraswathy is Antervaahini and it converges under water .  The Dhambadhi Pooja after the Dip in the Holy Waters  was performed with all the diligence that the occasion demands .  VAIKOM VISIT - IN GODS OWN                     COUNTRY  Kerala has always been my favourite place of visit over the years . Its cleanliness , its greenery,  waterways , not to forget its spirituality and beautiful people in more ways than one  have always held  a special attraction for  me . We , that is me and my Better Half have visited Kerala before  and visited many of  its  Temples and Tourist Attractions.  One place missing in this list has been the Viakom  Sri Mahadeva Temple . We decided to embark  on  a visit to this place and Mami was spot on to point out that there was a direct Train from Ambasamudram to Vaikom Road by the 16792 Palaruvi Express starting from ASD at 11.57 PM and reaching Vaikom Road Station at 7.30 Am the next morning .
