                       WHO IS TO BE BLAMED 

By all accounts , Tamilnadu can be considered to be among the Elite States of the Country .

The State has more Urban Population than the Rural Ones .

It is one of the most Industrialized States and a Manufacturing Hub of Varied Items both for local use and for Exports .

Though not at the Zenith , it is one of the most Literate States in India .

Has the Highest number of Engineering and Medical Colleges in the Country .

Medical Infrastructure is the Best in the Country and is often referred to as the Medical Capital of the country . 

                        Inspite and despite all these praise worthy features , we sadly lag way behind in the Covid Vaccination figures . We seem to be performing worse than the "PAAN BEAD A " States .

                        I would lay the blame for this on the 24x7 and mostly selective  Media Hype and the Election Related negative propaganda that was let loose .

A ) First and Foremost the Emergency Approval of both COVAXINE AND COVIESHIELD was shown in poor light .

B ) Huge round of debate on which of the two is  better .

C ) Why our PM has not been the first person to take the Jab. 

D ) Approval by WHO AND ICMR Questioned .

E ) Stray cases of Blood Clotting in far off US bandied about to increase the already existing fears of the masses .

F ) Whipping up the Unfortunate Passing away of Actor/Comedian Vivek and raising doubts if his taking a jab of the Vaccine had any part to play in his demise. 

G ) Highlighting the crowds that gathered during the Election Rallies for the just concluded Elections which in turn led to the belief among the masses that Social Distancing and Masks were unimportant and non  issues which can  in no way be  connected to our own safety .

                        It is just past noon on 26 th May 2021 as I type this and we are supposed to be in the middle of a total Lockdown . In a small place like Agasthiarpatty , every minute there are atleast 10 vehicles of all sizes on the Ambai to Papanasam  Road,

TOTAL BAN ON 2 WHEELER IS THE  ONLY WAY FORWARD . 

The MOOT question though is what good is my fear on getting infected  , when many Goddamned Idiots are flouting all  safety norms  and roaming free on the Road .
