 G 11 Meet of a Different Kind

These days the Newspapers and the Visual Media report the Virtual Meet Online of the leaders of Various Countries to discuss the issues confronting them at that moment .

OUR OWN FAMILY MEET WAS ON THESE LINES : 

The Family Tree of my Maternal Grandfather,  finally found shape due to the efforts of the Tech Savvy younger ones in the clan and the  enthusiastic support of others members .

The numbers involved are staggering .

The family is now spread across the Globe .
Leave the others down the generations  , there are many First Cousins who have never physically met each other . With the Technology now available , the younger ones in the clan hit upon the bright idea to arrange  a virtual meet to start with and a physical meet to be arranged in late 2021 .

 Our own G 11 had the majority members at the following locations .

MUMBAI CHENNAI BANGALORE
HYDERABAD AMBAS COIMBATORE
SOUDI ARABIA GERMANY UK
CANADA AND  THE USA
and other places which I am not even aware .

Age  and Time Zones being important  factors , a Doodle poll was conducted to arrive at a suitable time slot convenient to a majority .
Yesterdays 7.30 PM was the selected time slot via the GOOGLE MEET PLATFORM and close to 60 of us participated in the virtual meet .

Although we did have the usual hiccups being first time users of a virtual meet , as time went bye we got to know of the nuances involved . No words to express the feeling of joy and pleasure of meeting and talking with members  of our clan . There were many in the group  whom  we were meeting and talking for the first time . I am sure the next time this is going to  be even better .

 AYODHYA YAATRA  DAY - ONE     Sundar Holiday Travels  As instructed  by Mr Ashok of Sunder Travels , we were dot on time at 9.00 thanks primarily due to smooth flow of traffic from Vadapalani to the Chennai  Airport .  Other Yatrees also slowly trooped in . Ashok seemed to have his way with the Indigo Airways . Group Check in saved us a lot of time . Ayodhya Yaatraa Day -3 - 704

                  Ayodhya Yatra - Day 3  The highlight of the day was to be the Holy Dip in the Triveni Sangamam .  For the uninformed Triveni Sangamam is the place where the Three Rivers Ganga Yamuna and Saraswathy converge into one . It is the place where Veni Daanam is given after a bath in the River .  The 20 Minute Boat Ride takes you to this place of convergence of these three rivers . The Boatmen help you to take a dip in the water . Old set of clothes are discarded symbolising the discarding of everything bad and the start of a new fresh life .  Ganga is slightly murky while the Yamuna is clearer , Saraswathy is Antervaahini and it converges under water .  The Dhambadhi Pooja after the Dip in the Holy Waters  was performed with all the diligence that the occasion demands . VAIKOM VISIT- IN GODS OWN COUNTRY - 686

 VAIKOM VISIT - IN GODS OWN                     COUNTRY  Kerala has always been my favourite place of visit over the years . Its cleanliness , its greenery,  waterways , not to forget its spirituality and beautiful people in more ways than one  have always held  a special attraction for  me . We , that is me and my Better Half have visited Kerala before  and visited many of  its  Temples and Tourist Attractions.  One place missing in this list has been the Viakom  Sri Mahadeva Temple . We decided to embark  on  a visit to this place and Mami was spot on to point out that there was a direct Train from Ambasamudram to Vaikom Road by the 16792 Palaruvi Express starting from ASD at 11.57 PM and reaching Vaikom Road Station at 7.30 Am the next morning .
