Agasthiarpatty to  Tirunelveli to Bangalore to Frankfurt to Toronto 

The Long hours of travel , first by a Cab from Agasthiarpatty to Tirunelveli on a road which is being widened and in very bad shape right now and then the Train journey from Tirunelveli to Bangalore which arrives at the City Station at 9.30 AM for us to  catch a flight at Bangalore Internationsl Airport at 3.15 AM the next morning all , with the six luggage in tow.

Bangalore to Toronto by the Lufthansa service is enroute FRANKFURT with a near 5 hour layover at Frankfurt between the  nine and a half hour flight between Bangalore and Frankfurt first and then  the  eight and a half hour flight from Frankfurt to Toronto .

These extra long hours of travel plus the LH754 Which is a Boeing 747-400 with a seating capacity filled to the brim of 570 passengers ,  Reportedly the largest Commercial Aircraft operating now ,   made the travel even more tedious even before entering the aircraft and occupying our ECONOMY CLASS SEATS ..

We were at the Airport by 10.30 pm itself for a flight departure at 3.15 am .  There was already a  queue in place even at that early hour .. 

Immigration and Security check were a relative smooth process except for the mandatory check of all the documents with the COVID VACCINATION CERTIFICATE being the most important document after your Passport and Visa Stamping .

The near 500 crowd trying to enter the Aircraft all  at the same time which had  a sizable number in wheel chairs , had you drained even before you stepped into  the Aircraft .

Surprise of surprises awaited us at gate 40 of the Departure Lounge . We were informed of an Automatic Free Upgrade of our Ticket from Economy Class to PRIME ECONOMY CLASS . This gave us room for a much more leg space and comfort with other  improved service features  .

More leg space ensured a comfortable 9.5 hour journey most of which was spent in sleep  .

I must be fair to admit that I am still not sure of the criteria involved in this AUTOMATIC FREE UPGRADE .

All I know is that we had a comfortable journey which would otherwise have cost us an extra Rs 25000 or so for the two  of us .

LUCK DOES SMILE ON US SOMETIMES .

    Dear Bro, very nice to know about your happy flight to Toronto.I also had a similar experience of Auto upgradation to Prime Economy when I was travelling to Paris CDG from Bgl.few months back which was indeed comforatble than the normal economy.Ok.Enjoy your days1

 VAIKOM VISIT - IN GODS OWN                     COUNTRY  Kerala has always been my favourite place of visit over the years . Its cleanliness , its greenery,  waterways , not to forget its spirituality and beautiful people in more ways than one  have always held  a special attraction for  me . We , that is me and my Better Half have visited Kerala before  and visited many of  its  Temples and Tourist Attractions.  One place missing in this list has been the Viakom  Sri Mahadeva Temple . We decided to embark  on  a visit to this place and Mami was spot on to point out that there was a direct Train from Ambasamudram to Vaikom Road by the 16792 Palaruvi Express starting from ASD at 11.57 PM and reaching Vaikom Road Station at 7.30 Am the next morning . On Northern Most Point Thus Far - 604

Setting Foot on the  Northern Most  Point Thus Far Travelled by Me . Coming as this does within 10 days of my arrival in Canada, our trip to Waskesiu was unique in more ways than one . Waskesiu which is about 450 Kms from Regina and is at the Northern Most point in the Saskatchewan Province of Canada .  As with most other regions , this place is unique for ,  Literally 100 s of waterfronts and beaches . Shrouded by tall trees all around where the Suns Rays rarely reach the ground level directly and unhindered . Home to Bear , Deer and Elf . We were lucky to spot all the three during our trip on Road . There are Beautiful Resorts all around where visitors from all  across Canada , spend Time and Money in huge numbers to savor the Natural Beauty which is in abundance here . During Summer Months the Weather in these areas are on the lines of Kodaikanal or Uthagamandalam at its coldest .
