                     SPLASH PADS FOR KIDS 

The weather and the freezing cold have always been a strong  deterrent for  anyone wanting to settle and make it a home in Canada. Inspite and despite this seemingly insurmountable challenge,  Canada attracts a large contingent of Immigrants from across other parts of the World which includes a large percentage from the hot heartland of the Indian Subcontinent. 

The extended winter with the Temperatures in the negative and the Attendant Snowfall have the Canadians Celebrating the Annual Trysts with Sunshine each year during the Summer Vacations .

Weekends are a time to rejoice and head to the nearest Resort or Waterfront . Age , Gender or their original Nationality are hardly a matter of any concern . Caravan laden with MotorBoats or Cycles is a common sight .



For lack of an opportunity due to any reason ,  the SPLASH PADS are a busy place where the children have a whale of a time . The powerful splash and spray of water are  a sure attraction to the kids . This together with the many Gaming Platforms at the adjoining Park are sure to keep the kids busy for atleast a couple of hours .

 AYODHYA YAATRA  DAY - ONE     Sundar Holiday Travels  As instructed  by Mr Ashok of Sunder Travels , we were dot on time at 9.00 thanks primarily due to smooth flow of traffic from Vadapalani to the Chennai  Airport .  Other Yatrees also slowly trooped in . Ashok seemed to have his way with the Indigo Airways . Group Check in saved us a lot of time . Lunch packet Distribution done we were on our way and were before time at Lucknow .  Lucknow was a lot different from what I had imagined , airport was spotlessly clean as was their baggage handling services .  Mr Ashok saw to it that we were off on a Bus to Ayodhya in a flash . Ayodhya Yaatraa Day -3 - 704

                  Ayodhya Yatra - Day 3  The highlight of the day was to be the Holy Dip in the Triveni Sangamam .  For the uninformed Triveni Sangamam is the place where the Three Rivers Ganga Yamuna and Saraswathy converge into one . It is the place where Veni Daanam is given after a bath in the River .  The 20 Minute Boat Ride takes you to this place of convergence of these three rivers . The Boatmen help you to take a dip in the water . Old set of clothes are discarded symbolising the discarding of everything bad and the start of a new fresh life .  Ganga is slightly murky while the Yamuna is clearer , Saraswathy is Antervaahini and it converges under water .  The Dhambadhi Pooja after the Dip in the Holy Waters  was performed with all the diligence that the occasion demands .  VAIKOM VISIT - IN GODS OWN                     COUNTRY  Kerala has always been my favourite place of visit over the years . Its cleanliness , its greenery,  waterways , not to forget its spirituality and beautiful people in more ways than one  have always held  a special attraction for  me . We , that is me and my Better Half have visited Kerala before  and visited many of  its  Temples and Tourist Attractions.  One place missing in this list has been the Viakom  Sri Mahadeva Temple . We decided to embark  on  a visit to this place and Mami was spot on to point out that there was a direct Train from Ambasamudram to Vaikom Road by the 16792 Palaruvi Express starting from ASD at 11.57 PM and reaching Vaikom Road Station at 7.30 Am the next morning .
