     A Landmark Event Dating Back 31+ Years 

PM MODI PRESTIGIOUS JAL JEEVAN YOJANA 

22 nd April is one more Landmark Day for all of  us in our Family .

It was on the 22 nd of April in the year 1992 , when the Landmark event of the Grihapravesam or House Warming Ceremony for our House Maaruthy was held  at Kannadasan Street in Agasthiarpatty halfway between Ambasamudram and Papanasam . 

The old adage  " KALYANATHAI PANNY PAAR , ILLA VEETAI KATTI PAAR " comes to mind each time the topic of Building this House comes to mind  . My Parents being with me on this happy Occasion was a blessing in itself .

Couple of things come to mind when I dwell on this topic .

1) It was the first House to be Completed for the plots earmarked for the Staff at Agasthiarpatty.  

2 ) The House was on Kannadasan Street which is the First of the many Streets and Parallel to the Ambai to Papanasam which is now getting developed into a 4 Lane Highway .

3 ) Borewell water was available at a mere 50 Feet and we have never faced an issue in this regard from  the time of our occupation and till date . Shortage of water has never been a issue here . 

4 ) Our house was almost the  erstwhile Pavilion where we played many a Cricket Match in the Inter Unit or District Cricket League Matches . .

It has been 31 years since you embraced us in your fold and made us a very much a part of you .

I guess the one item that is  closest to your heart after your family is your HOUSE . 

The name MAARUTHY was always a favourite with my parents and it gives me immense happiness and  fulfillment in naming our HOME  -  Maaruthy  .

The pleasure is even more when I recollect the many many hours that  I spent in the scorching sun and the pouring rain while   overseeing  MAARUTHY even as it was  being built brick by brick and the financial and physical hardships that we   have had to face to make this happen .

The Grihapravesam on 22nd April 1992 is still fresh in my mind . 

My Daughter and Son too have fond memories of Maaruthy as this is the place which acted  as a launch pad to make them  successful professionals in their own  field in far off long distant places .

Thank you very much for taking care of us in so many ways and protecting us from the vagaries of the weather .

PRAYING TO THE ALMIGHTY TO KEEP IT THIS    WAY IN THE YEARS TO COME 

PS : As I had mentioned earlier , water was available from the 50 feet Borewell and in sumptuous quantity 

This ofcourse had its drawback , inspite and despite all my repeated efforts I was unable to get piped water connection  . This after spending a lot of time , knocking on the doors of many known and unknown faces . I do not want to mention the obvious, that also was a failure . All that it did was to burn a deeper hole in my pocket . 

 Both the dispensations had their own reasons for the same

It was only just a few days back and after a wait of 30 + years that I got a piped water connection under the JAL JEEVAN MISSION OF OUR PM MODIJI .

TAMBARABARANI WATER HAS FINALLY FOUND ITS WAY INTO OUR HOUSE AFTER A 30 YEAR WAIT .6
