      IS SENGOL A SYMBOL OF 

     MONARCHY - DEMOCRACY 

Of late  Many Reams of paper and an incredible amount of Prime Time on Television debates have been spent over  the installation of the now famous 

                        SENGOL                           in the August House of the NEW PARLIAMENT COMPEX by the Honourable Prime Minister. 

The point of Contention by the Opposition has been that it is a symbol of Monarchy where Power to Rule the Masses changes hands with the HANDLING of the SENGOL .

The Ruling Combine argue that it is merely a Sacred Symbol signifying a change from the British  Rule to our own .

At the National Level does it not look comical for the GREAT GRAND SON WAXING ELOQUENT ON AN ISSUE WHICH HAS SEEN THE RULE CHANGE HANDS FROM THE GREAT GRAND FATHER TO GRAND MOTHER TO FATHER AND TO THE PRESENT ASPIRANT TO RULE THE NATION .

IS THIS MONARCHY OR --------

Closer Home , the scenario is even worse , not only the Father , Son and Grandson rule the roost, the umpteen siblings , cousins and their wards hold all the plum positions of Governance .

IS THIS MONARCHY OR ----------

The convenient argument put forward will be that all these esteemed folks are duly elected representatives of the people .

I leave it to the reader to decide on how much water this arguement can hold considering how our Systems work .
