Halloween Day at Regina - 657

 Halloween Day Regina - Canada

Not many from our part of the world might have come across this term HALLOWEEN DAY .

It is a contraction of All Hallows Eve , a Holiday observed on Oct 31st each year , the evening before ALL SAINTS  ( or ALL HALLOWS ) day .

The celebrations marks the day before the Western Christian feast of All Saints and lasts for Three Days and concludes with the All Souls’ Day . In much of Europe and most of North America , observance of Halloween is largely non religious. Along with Skeletons and black Cats , the holiday has incorporated scary beings such as Ghosts , Witches and Vampires into the celebrations. Another symbol is the

Jack- o - Lantern

A hollowed out pumpkin carved into a demonic face with a lit candle inside .

Temperatures during this part of the year is mostly in the Negative and the  snowfall add up to make this evening more special .

The houses get decorated or should one say haunted with all the eerie looking figures of Skeletons , Figures hanging by the neck on trees and  darkly lit houses make for a  fun filled but scary experience for the Kids as well as their parents .

Children of the neighborhood in Clothes on the lines of our Fancy Dress visit each house where they are offered Chocolates,Candies or whatever else for EATS.

It surely is one of the rare occasions when you see such a large number of Kids and their Parents  on the roads or visiting each others place in their neighborhood totally uninvited but exchanging pleasantries.

PARENTS AND THEIR CHILDREN ALL GATHER TOGETHER TO MAKE THIS A MEMORABLE

           EVENING/NIGHT
