       BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION OF BHAGAVAN

        SATHYA SAI BABA AT REGINA 25/11/2023

We have been an ardent and regular Devotees of Bhagavan Sri Satya Sai Baba . This has been so Right from our days at Madura Coats Colony in VK Puram . My Parents used to conduct Bhajans and Classes on a regular basis there . I have been to both PRASHANTI NILAYAM , ANANTAPUR as also WHITEFIELD , BANGALORE to seek his Blessings .

This year , we are at Regina in Canada on this Auspicious Day . The celebrations was to be conducted at  The Hindu Temple in Regina . The temperature on the day was at   (-15 ) Degrees and Snowing while even as we were Driving to the Temple .

The assembled Devotees was a surprise and more surprising was the large number of Very Young , Bala Vikas Students who presented short clips from the Epics of both Ramayana and Mahabharata.

This was immediately after the chanting of the Ashtotra of Sai Baba . M/S Janak - Yashaswi , Nalini Madam and a host of others who had put in Hours of toil to put up the show needs to be appreciated. 












The Prasad or Take Home Dinner was Special .

 AYODHYA YAATRA  DAY - ONE     Sundar Holiday Travels  As instructed  by Mr Ashok of Sunder Travels , we were dot on time at 9.00 thanks primarily due to smooth flow of traffic from Vadapalani to the Chennai  Airport .  Other Yatrees also slowly trooped in . Ashok seemed to have his way with the Indigo Airways . Group Check in saved us a lot of time . Lunch packet Distribution done we were on our way and were before time at Lucknow .  Lucknow was a lot different from what I had imagined , airport was spotlessly clean as was their baggage handling services .  Mr Ashok saw to it that we were off on a Bus to Ayodhya in a flash . Ayodhya Yaatraa Day -3 - 704

                  Ayodhya Yatra - Day 3  The highlight of the day was to be the Holy Dip in the Triveni Sangamam .  For the uninformed Triveni Sangamam is the place where the Three Rivers Ganga Yamuna and Saraswathy converge into one . It is the place where Veni Daanam is given after a bath in the River .  The 20 Minute Boat Ride takes you to this place of convergence of these three rivers . The Boatmen help you to take a dip in the water . Old set of clothes are discarded symbolising the discarding of everything bad and the start of a new fresh life .  Ganga is slightly murky while the Yamuna is clearer , Saraswathy is Antervaahini and it converges under water .  The Dhambadhi Pooja after the Dip in the Holy Waters  was performed with all the diligence that the occasion demands .  VAIKOM VISIT - IN GODS OWN                     COUNTRY  Kerala has always been my favourite place of visit over the years . Its cleanliness , its greenery,  waterways , not to forget its spirituality and beautiful people in more ways than one  have always held  a special attraction for  me . We , that is me and my Better Half have visited Kerala before  and visited many of  its  Temples and Tourist Attractions.  One place missing in this list has been the Viakom  Sri Mahadeva Temple . We decided to embark  on  a visit to this place and Mami was spot on to point out that there was a direct Train from Ambasamudram to Vaikom Road by the 16792 Palaruvi Express starting from ASD at 11.57 PM and reaching Vaikom Road Station at 7.30 Am the next morning .
