JUST THE OTHER DAY I WAS INTO A GAME OF SCRABBLE WITH MY GRANDSON . HE HAD THE LETTERS Z , B, E , B , M  , L  AND I  WITH HIM AS HIS SEVEN LETTERS .

THOSE WHO HAVE PLAYED A  THE GAME OF SCRABBLE I AM SURE ARE AWARE AS TO HOW DIFFICULT IT IS TO MAKE USE OF THE LETTER    " Z " .

HOWEVER GOOD ONES VOCABULARY IS ,  MAKING USE OF Z WITH THE OTHER LETTERS IN HAND ON  THE BOARD IS ALWAYS A PROBLEM . THIS IS MORE SO AS  THERE ARE NOT TOO MANY WORDS WHICH  MAKES USE OF THE LETTER Z .

MAKING USE OF THE FREE LETTER " O " ON THE BOARD , MY GRANDSON HAD FORMED THE WORD    --        ZOMBIE .

IT IS ONLY FAIR TO ADMIT THAT I WAS RATHER SURPRISED AT MY GRANDSON FORMING THIS WORD  AND WAS NOT EVEN SURE IF THE WORD WAS THERE IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE .

A QUICK GOOGLE CHECK GAVE ME THE ANSWER AND THE MEANING OF ZOMBIE :- 

1) A WILL LESS AND SPEECHLESS HUMAN 

2 ) A PERSON RESEMBLING A LIVING DEAD 

3 ) A MIXED DRINK MADE OF SEVERAL KINDS OF RUM , LIQUOR OR FRUIT JUICE AND HERBS 

This set me thinking , we all seem to be leading a ZOMBIE type existence . The LIQUOR and DRUGS available have made us into ZOMBIES . 

Nothing absolutely nothing seems to stir us any more .

So what if a student is Raped in a Premier Educational Institution and AN  all out efforts made to hide the SIR 

So what if SHIT is mixed in Drinking water in a village . 

So what if there are maas deaths due to the consumption of Spurious Liquor.

So what if there is a deterioration in the Law and Order Situation 

So what if the Promises made in the Election Manifesto are not met .

So what if Sand and Minerals are looted and thousands of Truckloads of the same are finding their way into other States .

So what if Madical Waste from Kerala are dumped into the neighbouring District of Tenkasi and Tirunelveli in  Tamilnadu .

So what if EB Readings are not taken every month as Promised 

So what if Property Taxes , EB Charges are increased Manifold .

So what if our School Education System is in dire straits .

So what if the Retirement benefits are not given to the Transport Staff .

So what if the Beliefs and everything that we hold as Sacred are Trampled upon .

SO WHAT IF ALL THE PROMISES MADE IN THE MANIFESTO DURING THE ELECTION CAMPAIGN WHICH COULD BENEFIT THE COMMON MAN MONITAR ILY ARE NOT MET 

So what if  no developmental projects of the Central Govt find the approval of the State .

So what if there are so MANY .  MANY  other things which we know are wrong .We are happy to keep our EYES AND EARS CLOSED AND BE THE PERFECT 

                               ZOMBIE

 AYODHYA YAATRA  DAY - ONE     Sundar Holiday Travels  As instructed  by Mr Ashok of Sunder Travels , we were dot on time at 9.00 thanks primarily due to smooth flow of traffic from Vadapalani to the Chennai  Airport .  Other Yatrees also slowly trooped in . Ashok seemed to have his way with the Indigo Airways . Group Check in saved us a lot of time . Ayodhya Yaatraa Day -3 - 704

                  Ayodhya Yatra - Day 3  The highlight of the day was to be the Holy Dip in the Triveni Sangamam .  For the uninformed Triveni Sangamam is the place where the Three Rivers Ganga Yamuna and Saraswathy converge into one . It is the place where Veni Daanam is given after a bath in the River .  The 20 Minute Boat Ride takes you to this place of convergence of these three rivers . The Boatmen help you to take a dip in the water . Old set of clothes are discarded symbolising the discarding of everything bad and the start of a new fresh life .  Ganga is slightly murky while the Yamuna is clearer , Saraswathy is Antervaahini and it converges under water .  The Dhambadhi Pooja after the Dip in the Holy Waters  was performed with all the diligence that the occasion demands .  VAIKOM VISIT - IN GODS OWN                     COUNTRY  Kerala has always been my favourite place of visit over the years . Its cleanliness , its greenery,  waterways , not to forget its spirituality and beautiful people in more ways than one  have always held  a special attraction for  me . We , that is me and my Better Half have visited Kerala before  and visited many of  its  Temples and Tourist Attractions.  One place missing in this list has been the Viakom  Sri Mahadeva Temple . We decided to embark  on  a visit to this place and Mami was spot on to point out that there was a direct Train from Ambasamudram to Vaikom Road by the 16792 Palaruvi Express starting from ASD at 11.57 PM and reaching Vaikom Road Station at 7.30 Am the next morning .
