Independence Day Panorama in Toronto - 780

    INDEPENDENCE DAY PANORAMA -                                                   

                           TORONTO 

            Sunday 17 th August 2025 



This is the Biggest Flag outside of India and people went around it in Circles holding the NATIONAL FLAG in their hands . 



My Niece Kala who is an active member of the Business Community and a Popular Person here in Toronto informed us of the Independence Day Panorama and asked us to be a part and take part in Our Independence Day Panorama Celebrations . 




It was being staged on the Square in front of the New and Old City Hall in Downtown Toronto . 

We were there around 2.00 PM  , Kala was there to greet us . There was already a huge crowd to witness the Stage Performances from various communities of the Indian Diaspora as were the Food Stalls with delicacies popular in their state . 

The Beat of the Drums , Dhols , Cymbals Trumpets with the Dancers accompanying the Floats in huge Trucks and the Cheer from The Thousands of members of the Indian Diaspora cheering them with Vande Mataram , Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Jai Bhawani  was all pervading . 

Floats from  Different States and Regions drew Cheer from all . 

Near 90 Minutes of absolute bliss of Music and Cheer. One could almost feel as if they were in India for the Independence Day Celebrations albeit on a grander scale . 

That the whole spectacle was taking place in one of the High Profile and Busiest Business District of Toronto goes to show the distance the Canadian Authorities will walk for the sake of the Indian Community at large now .

US VISIT 3 - SURPRISE PACKAGE - 777

         SURPRISE PACKAGE      VISIT TO NEW VRINDABAN  Our plan was to head for our home in Ajax after Breakfast as it was almost an Eight hour drive back home with  a number of Pitstops in between .   Sathya and Vandana gave us ( Revathy and Myself ) a pleasant Surprise by informing us that we were heading for NEW VRINDABAN instead  in the neighboring State of WEST VIRGINIA  . New VRINDABAN is the US Headquarters of the Popular  HARE KRISHNA OR ISKON Community in the US and the final resting place of their founder or PRABHUPADA . NAVARATHRI GOLU 2025 - AJAX - 795

                    NAVARATHRI 2025   --  AJAX  We are at my Son and Daughter In Law’s place at Ajax in Canada this year for the Navarathri Festival . It is  a festival which has the Ladies garnering all the limelight during the Nine Day Festival with THE GOLU as the highlight . The men in the house have to get down the Cartons from the attic with the neatly packed idols of last year stored there with utmost care . Cleaning and dusting the same takes some doing . Getting the 5 or 7 Deck GOLU PADI is a big task in itself . Haarish , my son is good with his hands which includes the Carpentry work also .
