 VISIT TO NEW VRINDABAN 

Our plan was to head for our home in Ajax after Breakfast as it was almost an Eight hour drive back home with  a number of Pitstops in between .  

Sathya and Vandana gave us ( Revathy and Myself ) a pleasant Surprise by informing us that we were heading for NEW VRINDABAN instead  in the neighboring State of WEST VIRGINIA  .

New VRINDABAN is the US Headquarters of the Popular  HARE KRISHNA OR ISKON Community in the US and the final resting place of their founder or PRABHUPADA .









The Krishna Temple ; Palace of Gold ; Rose Garden ; Goshala ; Peacock Mount is very Scenic ; People from all over the World Visit this place in large numbers and stay here for a few days for enchantment and to be with  MOTHER NATURE at its very Best . 

The travel time involved was just 60 Minutes of Extra Time from our place of stay but the last 20 Minutes of travel involved covering a very tough terrain with very sharp bends and steep drops on either side of the not so very wide  road .

The TEMPLE itself is extremely beautiful and set in a very decorative way . 

KRISHNA AND RADHA  are the Centerpiece with Jagannath ; Balaram and Shubhadra on the Right and Radhe on the Left .

The place draws devotees throughout the day and the chanting of HARE RAMA HARE KRISHNA with Drums , Dhol and Cymbals with dancing to go with it from noon onwards are  really special . The free lunch without Onion or Garlick is a special feature here .

A very peaceful and enchanting time spent in the midst of Nature .

We started for home around 1.30 PM and reached home safely at 10.00 pm . A memorable trip which was enjoyed by all of us .

Tailpiece : This was on the very day when the mangled remains of a car with 4 Elderly Devotees in their Eightees  on their way to NEW VRINDABAN were discovered after a  missing person's search was launched for them  . Their car had overturned around a sharp bend and hurtled down a  slope . May they attain Sadgati .

NAVARATHRI GOLU 2025 - AJAX - 795

                    NAVARATHRI 2025   --  AJAX  We are at my Son and Daughter In Law’s place at Ajax in Canada this year for the Navarathri Festival . It is  a festival which has the Ladies garnering all the limelight during the Nine Day Festival with THE GOLU as the highlight . The men in the house have to get down the Cartons from the attic with the neatly packed idols of last year stored there with utmost care . Cleaning and dusting the same takes some doing . Getting the 5 or 7 Deck GOLU PADI is a big task in itself . Haarish , my son is good with his hands which includes the Carpentry work also .
