     PURRATASI SANI 2025 - TORONTO 

As has been our practice over the Past years to Visit PERUMAL Temples on the auspicious PURRATASI SANI ( SATURDAY ) . 

This year we were at Toronto and decided to Visit the Balaji Temple at Scarborough in Toronto . There was a huge number of Devotees assembled so much so that it was difficult to find place for parking your car .

The Deepa Aaradhanai was elaborately done and the PULIODARAI PRASADAM was the ultimate .

This brought back memories of our visits to PERUMAL TEMPLES LAST YEAR IN AND AROUND AMBASAMUDRAM.

In the Hindu Calendar the Month of Purattasi is considered sacred  for  offering of Prayers to Lord Vishnu.

 SATURDAYS ARE CONSIDERED EVEN MORE SPECIAL FOR THE SAME .

AFTER OFFERING THE MAHALAYA THARPANAM IN THE MORNING, IT WAS TIME  TO VISIT THE PERUMAL STHALAMS IN THE AREA . AS HAS BEEN THE PRACTICE THUS FAR YOU GET TO KNOW OF A NEW PLACE IN YOUR  NEIGHBORHOOD EACH PASSING YEAR . 

The First place of visit  was to the Chakrathalwar  Temple at Karisoozhnda Mandalam . I do not know about others but for me ,  for some unknown  reason this name and place does seem to have a Poetic,  Religious and sometimes even a Romantic Connect to it . 

Dark clouds shrouding over a large waterbody of the Tambarabarani River is not an imagination but is actually there as can be seen by the Video and Pictures . The River was bursting at its seams on both the Banks and in full force .

Being in a remote place near Pathamadai , Garuda Sevai was comparatively early at around 5.30 PM itself. 

The next was the Kariamanicka Perumal Temple also at Pattamadai but closer to the Village . Not many I am sure would have visited this small but Beautiful Temple . This was our First Time Visit to this exotic Temple . The Puliyodarai was really  excellent .

 

The next sthalam was the Athazhanallur Gajendra Varadan Perumal Temple . This  place has it's own attraction irrespective of  the number of times you visit this place. The Big Perumal is always a sight to behold . 

The huge  crowd  and the orderly management of the same despite the near 15 Minute Power Shut Down does need to be appreciated.  The Police Force with their Mobile phone Torches were a great help .

The next was the  Aadi Varaha Perumal Temple at Kallidaikurichy,  Crowds inside the Temple and outside the enclosure partaking the various Food Items on sale was a sight in itself. 

The last for the day was the Krishnan Kovil at Ambasamudram. Preparations for the Garuda Sevai were in full swing as was the queue for the Annadhanam Later .

As the last part of the visits a THENGAI VADAL at the Selva Vinayagar Temple just in front of the Ambai Main Post Office made it our Day .
