Dhanteras /Diwali Eve 2025 - 801

 DHANTERAS - DIWALI  EVE - KATPAGA VINAYAGAR - BRAMPTON - TORONTO 

Yesterday being an auspicious day had us visiting the AARATHY JEWELLERS at Scarborough for some token purchases on the occasion of Dhanteras .

Katpaga Vinayagar Temple at Brampton         (The Sri Lankans who Manage the Temple like to call the Karpaga Vinayagar as we call it , that way ) was our next place of Visit . Due to the Festive Eve ; the Temple drew a large number of Devotees .

Brar Restaurant at Brampton very Close to the Karpaga Vinayagar Temple was earmarked by Sathya and Vandanaa for the purchase of Diwali Sweets . Brars Restaurant are the largest ethnic Buffet outlets in Canada . During the Diwali Festival , they create an exclusive space for the sale  Sweets and Savouries . The variety on offer is such that one is left having a hard time in deciding their choice  . Gift Packets in various sizes and denominations to suit ones budget were on Display .

After making the Sweet Purchases ; we headed to the Brar Buffet Restaurant . A staggering , close to 150 very tasty items for you to test your taste buds  .  It is a case of having something in PLENTY  and the problems it can have you in making the right choice . It was much like choosing the Best Playing Eleven in the Indian Cricket Team for a T20 Match .

One can't by any stretch of imagination expect someone to taste all the items on offer. Tough place to be in .

The live Karaoke music being provided by the Singer and that too at the  listeners choice was very refreshing . Yours truely also requested a song from Kashmir Ki Kali  " तारीफ़ करूं क्या उनकी , TAAREEF KAROON KYA UNKEE ,"  the evergreen OP NAIYER HIT and joining him in  singing the last line was a surprise to me first more than to anybody else . The applause it received was even more so . 

All in all , a memorable evening .
