CANADA GURUVAYUR TEMPLE VISIT - 817

        CANADA GURUVAYUR TEMPLE 

THE VISIT TO THE CANADA GURUVAYUR TEMPLE LOCATED AT BRAMPTON  YESTERDAY WAS A MEMORABLE ONE . IT IS SITUATED SOME 80 KMS AWAY FROM OUR PLACE AT AJAX AND A NEAR ONE HOUR DRIVE IS INVOLVED . HEAVY SNOWING HAD LEFT EVERYTHING ON EITHER SIDE OF THE ROAD IN TO A SHEET OF WHITE . 

CANADA GURUVAYUR TEMPLE IS MODELLED ON THE LINES OF OUR OWN GURUVAYUR TEMPLE . EXTREMELY CLEAN  EASY AND GOOD DARSHAN IS GUARANTEED. TAKING OF PICTURES OR VIDEOS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED EXCEPT AT THE PLACE SPECIALLY EARMARKED FOR THE SAME .


My niece and Aditya from Mississauga also joined us at the Temple .

               PARANTHE WALI GALI 

Dinner was at PARANTHE WALI GALI , परांठे वाली गली  , which simply means a lane where you can get your Paratha or simply ROTI . This is an eatery where you get your Roti in umpteen different varieties with a cup of DAL MAKHNI AND VERY THICK CURD OR DAHIB as the side dish . Being Six of us we ordered Six different Varieties . The Taste was out of the World .

These are almost on the lines of our own 99 DOSA STALLS AT CHENNAI OR BANGALORE.






The music and singing at the back added an extra bit of taste to the PARANTHAS .



Over Night Heavy SNOWING 

As I had mentioned there was heavy snowing during the night . Near 15 Inches was reported . Sathya informs me that this was just moderate and that much Heavier Snowing were to be expected in the winter season ahead . For us from the Sub Continent anything lower than plus 10 Degrees Centigrade is unbearably Cold Winter .

The trouble taken to clear the snow needs to be seen to be believed .

         A GOLU WHICH IS  NO LESS                               THAN A DIVINE ART EXHIBITION  We were at Ajax in Canada on Sunday the  28 th  of September 2025 . It was a special day for two reasons . I have always been a Cricket Buff and try to watch all India related matches wherever and in whichever time zone they are played in .  It was the day of the much touted  Title Clash and  the Finals Of THE ASIA CUP CRICKET MATCH between India and Pakistan which was being played at The Dubai International Stadium . The Match was Scheduled to start at 10.30 am  Toronto Local time . There was plenty of  On Field and Off Field  drama and acrimony by the Pakis during their previous  two  league stage Matches which were  won by India handsomely and by a huge margin at that . US VISIT 3 - SURPRISE PACKAGE - 777

         SURPRISE PACKAGE      VISIT TO NEW VRINDABAN  Our plan was to head for our home in Ajax after Breakfast as it was almost an Eight hour drive back home with  a number of Pitstops in between .   Sathya and Vandana gave us ( Revathy and Myself ) a pleasant Surprise by informing us that we were heading for NEW VRINDABAN instead  in the neighboring State of WEST VIRGINIA  . New VRINDABAN is the US Headquarters of the Popular  HARE KRISHNA OR ISKON Community in the US and the final resting place of their founder or PRABHUPADA . The Krishna Temple ; Palace of Gold ; Rose Garden ; Goshala ; Peacock Mount is very Scenic ; People from all over the World Visit this place in large numbers and stay here for a few days for enchantment and to be with  MOTHER NATURE at its very Best .  The travel time involved was just 60 Minutes of Extra Time from our place of stay but the last 20 Minutes of travel involved coveri...
