                COLDEST PLACE ON THE PLANET

TWO important events were right  around the corner,  like the 15 th Wedding Anniversary of My Son and Daughter in Law plus the 5 th Birthday of our Granddaughter Akshu . 

We had so planned our visit to THE GREAT WOLF LODGE , including loading all the needed items inside the car while both our Grandkids were still  away at School . They had absolutely no idea that they were headed to a place which  had been on their minds for quite a while now  . They were given to understand that we were all  visiting a family relative's house  for a Dinner at a place slightly distant from us .

Their surprise on reaching the place was one big ,  " WOW , WHAT A GRAND SURPRISE " 

With reservations made some 3 Months back itself ,  the visit to the GREAT WOLF LODGE at Niagara was waiting for us despite the severe snow storm expected later over the Weekend.

Great Wolf Lodge is specially designed to keep the youngsters fully engaged with sports and water related activities in a totally closed environment during the winter months where the kids hardly have any options for meaningful playtime outside their homes or school .

As can be seen in the caption , January 23 rd in the Ontario Province where Niagara is located was amongst the coldest inhabited places on the Planet Earth at MINUS 50 DEG. Even a 2 Minute unprotected exposure could have lead to severe frostbites . 

On entering the GREAT WOLF LODGE , the closed environment kept everyone in decent comfort and warmth both in the Lounge where Dance and other group activities took place and the innumerable water sport activity areas .

Our two night stay in the lodge gave us  no hint of the forbidding cold weather outside .

After prayers at the Mississauga Siva Narayana Temple we were back and safe at our home in Ajax by 9 PM . The peak of the Polar Vortex Thunderstorm already sweeping large parts of the US  was expected around Noon the next day at  Toronto .

THANKFULLY WE ARE ALL BACK AND SAFE IN THE COMFORT OF OUR HOMES

Boiling Water thrown outside turns to instant snow now .
