DINOSAUR DRUMHELLER VISIT - 843

       SPLENDID DAY AT DRUMHELLER

We were at Sure Stay Hotel and registered ourselves at Drumheller by 6.00 pm . We had covered the 670 KMS in 8 hours with a number of PIT stops for Food and  you know what .

The Hoodoo Mountain Ranges is a place which attract a lot of footfalls at Drumheller. Mother Nature has sculpted exquisite figurines over centuries of blowing over of the wind across the place and the sedimentary nature of the mountain face . The whole place is scientifically believed to have been under the sea at one time long years back .

Climbing the dunes had its own thrill and we all enjoyed the visit and had a grand time at the Hoodoo Range .

STAR MINE SUSPENSION BRIDGE

The Star Mine SUSPENSION BRIDGE is a special attraction here at Drumheller. The place used to be a mining hub for Coal at one time . The bridge was used for transporting Men , Materials and Machinery engaged for the Coal Mining Activity . No  Mining Activities take place now . The Town Council has taken pains to Maintain the Same for the tourists visiting the place . The Bridge is close to 150 Mts in length. The sway of the Bridge from one side to the other with icy winds  on your face and the freezing water below is not one for the faint hearted .

                   ROYAL TYRRELL MUSEUM

For some reason I had always thought that Dinosaurs 🦕 🦖 existed in the hot and Forested Marshy lands of Africa . It came as a big surprise to learn that a Majority of its various species frequented the Alberta and Saskatchewan regions many many Billions of years back .
The Provincial Government of Alberta has set up a Museum for the study of the same . The effort and the huge sums of Money spent in PALEONTOLOGY is simply amazing .
The Research Laboratory engaged in the deciphering of the age and it's roots from the FOSSILS collected from various places around the Earth or from under the Sea Bed  is simply beyond normal imagination .

This is a must see attraction for all  at Drumheller.
