        DRAVIDANDHAR - ONE  BEFORE 23 April

I have had a great time while watching both  parts of the iconic movie DHURANDHAR which is set in the suburb of Lyari in Karachi -  Pakistan . The movie has gone on to become the all time highest grossing Box Office hit of film  made in India . 

The recent scenario playing out at VADAPALANI ,  a suburb of Chennai in India where assembly elections are due prompts me to bring to the notice of ADITYA DHAR AND YAMI GAUTAM who are the original story tellers of the Movie Dhurandhar that there is an absolute unheard of Goldmine just waiting to be mined here in our own India . 

The iconic Lyari Arch with the symbolic Falcon Bird  Atop in the original Dhurandhar can be replaced here with the equally iconic AVM Arch at Vadapalani .





Instead of the male Hamza Ali Mazari we have a female here who goes by the name of Prema Captaini . How Chanakya , Singham ( this of course is not their real name but a name earned by staying true to the Mission at all times ) and the gang conspire to enable her to infiltrate into the Chennai syndicate and break their fiefdom forms the backbone of the story . The father - son duo run the show here unlike the Dakait brothers of the original .

The stashing away of huge sums of money  by Eesan who is also a venerated and respected member of the Clan  in overseas accounts in Dubai and other tax free Haven's form a part of the story. This is on similar lines to the operations of the Khanani Brothers and Major Iqbal  in the original Dhurandhar .

Having their own outlets to sell the Liquor manufactured in their own distilleries at prices far in excess of the price mentioned as MRP and siphoning off the loot to safer locales in and outside the country for later use goes on to add to the thrills . If it was Guns and Ammunition in the Original it is Booze , Bottles and Commission here. 

The abduction and rape of the College Girl and hiding the names of the actual perpetrators of the crime namely SIR , adds to the suspense in the story telling . The part of SP CHOWDHRY in the original  is played here by SP KAVI .

How Prema Captaini gains the confidence of the father - son combo and secures their goodwill and full backing forms the crux of the story .

It is too late for the fact to sink into them that the brave PREMA CAPTAINI is part of a well laid out plan OF SLEEPER CELL INFILTRATION by the duo of Chanakya and Singham 

The deadline for the completion of the mission is 23rd April . Does her public utterances regarding the safety of women . Sexual harassment from a 4 year Girl to a 80 year old woman , the breakdown of the law and order machinery and also the widespread menace of drugs and alcohol of  the students  from the primary school stage itself . Will they all go on to dislodge the father - son duo from their fiefdom is earmarked as the climax to this action packed thriller . 

This however  will be known only on the   4 th of May . Aditya and Yami can have their next production  of DRAVIDANTHAR -  2 based on these results  .

 Here i am , a Retired Person nearing the three quarters of the Century Mark  , musing about the many  childhood dreams . There are many things which have caught my fancy as a schoolgoing kid and later on in the teens.
