           NELLAI JUNCTION 7.00 to 7.30 AM 

Nothing fascinates me more than the business or entrepreneur spirit of the People of the erstwhile District of Tirunelveli which  now has expanded to TUTICORIN , TENKASI AND A PART OF IT INTO THE KANYAKUMARI DISTRICT .

Leave alone the TVS , POTHY'S , RMKV , VASANTH AND CO , SARAVANA - SELVARATNAM STORES , AMALGAMATIONS OR MANY OTHERS OF ITS CLASS .

The ANNACHI KADAI have made their mark in totally unchartered waters of MATUNGA , CHEMBUR , DHARAVI , ANTOP HILL and a dozen other places in Mumbai , Ballygunge in Kolkata , Camp and Sector 10 Market in Bhilai , Gole Bazar in Kharagpur , Karol Bagh in the National Capital.  These are all besides the many Grocery , Fruit and Flower shops in every nook and corner of Tamil Nadu .

Before 7AM every morning ,  near half a dozen trains from Chennai , Coimbatore , Bangalore arrive at Tirunelveli Junction Railway Station .

Platform number 4 and 5 is where all the action take place . 

On platform Number 5  , Tirunelveli to Kanyakumari Passenger with a departure time of 7.05 am and Tirunelveli Tiruchendur Passenger with a Departure time of 7.10 am are one behind the other . The Gaurd of the Kanyakumari Passenger Train  within Handshaking distance of the Pilot of the Tiruchendur Passenger Train on the same platform and also getting out of the Station in the same direction .

Platform Number 4 is even more interesting . Tirunelveli - Sencottai Passenger with a departure time of 7.15 am is behind the Tirunelveli to TUTICORIN Passenger with a departure time of 7.20 am . The Gaurds of both these trains are on within Handshaking distance of each other and on the same platform but headed in opposite directions .

Between 7 and 7.30 am one can head for TIRUCHENDUR , KANYAKUMARI , SENCOTTAI - TENKASI OR TUTICORIN and all these places were within the  Ever Mobile  people of the same  Tirunelveli District not so long back ago .  All this action  from Platform numbers  4 or 5 .

( One ofcourse has to be careful in getting into the right train , you might end up in Kanyakumari instead of Tiruchendur !! , or TENKASI instead of Tuticorin !! )

Not many places Can boast of this privilege I am sure .
