          AMBASAMUDRAM TO TAMBARAM 

                         NORTH EAST VISIT 

Our flight to Guwahati from Chennai for our visit to the Four Day NORTH EAST visit was Scheduled to depart on 30 th Aug at 5.00 am . 

We had booked our ticket by the 3 rd AC on the 20684 Sengottai to Tambaram Superfast Express entraining the same at Ambasamudram which is pretty close to my place at Agasthiarpatty on the 28 th . 



The M 1 compartment like all other compartments in the train was extremely clean and had nothing to complain about .  The name SUPERFAST EXPRESS though is an absolute misnomer. For one , it takes nearly 4 hours longer than the route by the chord line . There are far too many stops enroute and the duration at each of these stops is far too long for comfort . The train which commenced journey at 6.15 pm reached Tambaram at 7.45 am . The cacophony of the Mobile Phones playing late into the night by many passengers was a sure discomfort . 

We reached my BIL s place around 9.30 am for our flight early next morning .

        IT IS BY FAR THE CHEAPEST HERE  AS ALL YOU FRIENDS MAY BE AWARE , BY A GOOD FORTUNE OF THE GRACE OF THE  GOOD LORD ABOVE  , I HAVE TRAVELLED FAR AND WIDE ACROSS THE GLOBE AND HAVE ALSO HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO TRAVEL BY TRAIN IN MANY OF THESE COUNTRIES . SITTING HERE IN CANADA I CAME ACROSS A BOARD WHICH WAS POSTED IN ANOTHER GROUP WHICH SHOWED THE PASSENGER TRAIN FARE DETAILS EX AMBAS TO VARIOUS PLACES . NAVARATHRI GOLU 2025 - AJAX - 795

                    NAVARATHRI 2025   --  AJAX  We are at my Son and Daughter In Law’s place at Ajax in Canada this year for the Navarathri Festival . It is  a festival which has the Ladies garnering all the limelight during the Nine Day Festival with THE GOLU as the highlight . The men in the house have to get down the Cartons from the attic with the neatly packed idols of last year stored there with utmost care . Cleaning and dusting the same takes some doing . Getting the 5 or 7 Deck GOLU PADI is a big task in itself . Haarish , my son is good with his hands which includes the Carpentry work also .
