LANGUAGE HATE FOR WHOSE BENIFIT - 85

The above picture is from Varanasi , the constituency that our dear PM Represents . This is in the main Hindi Heartland and TAMIL LETTERINGS in the background is there for all to see .

The recent sight of the Kazhaga Poraalees and Goons threatening the owners of eateries to bring down the Hindi Hoardings right in front of the Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple made a sad viewing .
The repeated Telecast of the incident by the famous triumvirate of the vernacular media well taken care financially or otherwise by their political masters who have to cater  to  their own vote bank politics brainwashed as they have been for the last 50 years against anything Hindi or in the interest of a nation as a whole is not lost on anyone  . The repeated telecast have only one agenda which is to stoke the fire as farther  and as wide as possible .

A lot many people from other states visit Madurai and include a visit to the Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple by default on their way to or from Rameswaram . They consider it sacred and their devine duty to visit Rameswaram atleast once during their lifetime .

Like it or not , a vast majority of them are familiar with only Hindi and finding an eatery during their visit is most helpful if it is in a language with which they are more familiar .

Tourism is for the benefit of everyone . Let us hope and pray that better sense will prevail with these bigots .

 AYODHYA YAATRA  DAY - ONE     Sundar Holiday Travels  As instructed  by Mr Ashok of Sunder Travels , we were dot on time at 9.00 thanks primarily due to smooth flow of traffic from Vadapalani to the Chennai  Airport .  Other Yatrees also slowly trooped in . Ayodhya Yaatraa Day -3 - 704

                  Ayodhya Yatra - Day 3  The highlight of the day was to be the Holy Dip in the Triveni Sangamam .  For the uninformed Triveni Sangamam is the place where the Three Rivers Ganga Yamuna and Saraswathy converge into one . It is the place where Veni Daanam is given after a bath in the River .  The 20 Minute Boat Ride takes you to this place of convergence of these three rivers . The Boatmen help you to take a dip in the water . Old set of clothes are discarded symbolising the discarding of everything bad and the start of a new fresh life .  Ganga is slightly murky while the Yamuna is clearer , Saraswathy is Antervaahini and it converges under water .  The Dhambadhi Pooja after the Dip in the Holy Waters  was performed with all the diligence that the occasion demands .  VAIKOM VISIT - IN GODS OWN                     COUNTRY  Kerala has always been my favourite place of visit over the years . Its cleanliness , its greenery,  waterways , not to forget its spirituality and beautiful people in more ways than one  have always held  a special attraction for  me . We , that is me and my Better Half have visited Kerala before  and visited many of  its  Temples and Tourist Attractions.  One place missing in this list has been the Viakom  Sri Mahadeva Temple . We decided to embark  on  a visit to this place and Mami was spot on to point out that there was a direct Train from Ambasamudram to Vaikom Road by the 16792 Palaruvi Express starting from ASD at 11.57 PM and reaching Vaikom Road Station at 7.30 Am the next morning .
