Trailer Truck Length and Their Driving Speeds - 102

The Driving Skills of the Drivers of these Vehicles never ceases to amaze me .







These Trailer Trucks are reported to be almost 30 Mts  in length . Most of the times it is Double Trailers , one behind the other and so a corresponding addition in length .

These super long behemoths travel the 4 or more Lane Expressways in Canada and the US at 120+  KMS per hour . The drivers of these vehicles need to be admired  for their maintaining a strict discipline in following the road rules .

It is now almost 5 months since I am in these parts and I am yet to hear the use of the horns on the road . The few occasions that I have heard the same have always been when someone  uses the same to check if his or her vehicle has been properly locked .

 AYODHYA YAATRA  DAY - ONE     Sundar Holiday Travels  As instructed  by Mr Ashok of Sunder Travels , we were dot on time at 9.00 thanks primarily due to smooth flow of traffic from Vadapalani to the Chennai  Airport .  Other Yatrees also slowly trooped in . Ayodhya Yaatraa Day -3 - 704

                  Ayodhya Yatra - Day 3  The highlight of the day was to be the Holy Dip in the Triveni Sangamam .  For the uninformed Triveni Sangamam is the place where the Three Rivers Ganga Yamuna and Saraswathy converge into one . It is the place where Veni Daanam is given after a bath in the River .  The 20 Minute Boat Ride takes you to this place of convergence of these three rivers . The Boatmen help you to take a dip in the water . Old set of clothes are discarded symbolising the discarding of everything bad and the start of a new fresh life .  Ganga is slightly murky while the Yamuna is clearer , Saraswathy is Antervaahini and it converges under water .  The Dhambadhi Pooja after the Dip in the Holy Waters  was performed with all the diligence that the occasion demands .  VAIKOM VISIT - IN GODS OWN                     COUNTRY  Kerala has always been my favourite place of visit over the years . Its cleanliness , its greenery,  waterways , not to forget its spirituality and beautiful people in more ways than one  have always held  a special attraction for  me . We , that is me and my Better Half have visited Kerala before  and visited many of  its  Temples and Tourist Attractions.  One place missing in this list has been the Viakom  Sri Mahadeva Temple . We decided to embark  on  a visit to this place and Mami was spot on to point out that there was a direct Train from Ambasamudram to Vaikom Road by the 16792 Palaruvi Express starting from ASD at 11.57 PM and reaching Vaikom Road Station at 7.30 Am the next morning .
