NIAGARA FALLS SCOW GETS UNSTUCK THIS HALOWEEN DAY - 136


Call it my luck or just Destiny , I somehow seem to be in  or near the place where an Unique or once in a life time event is  happening or has taken place .

3 )Release of Century old  Stuck Boat/ Scow at  The Niagara Falls on the Canada  and US Border .

On that fateful day , Harris 53 and Lofberg 51 , were working on the Niagara River onboard a small scow . Both were employees of Niagara Falls Power Company.
They were being towed by the tugboat Hassayampa , when disater struck . Apparently the tugboat became stuck on the sandbar causing the cable connecting the boat to snap . In danger of being swept over the falls  and on  to inevitable fatal consequences were looming large , they were rescued after several attempts by a local ex US Armyman played a prominent part . This story is more than a century old .

What is of essence now is that the tugboat or scow which was stuck between the rocks for more than a hundred years having withstood the extremely rough weather conditions all these years finally got unstuck around the Halloween Day of 2019 or the 31 st of October 2019 . The stuck tugboat had always been the Piece de Attraction for the millions of tourists like  me who flock to the Niagara Falls .

Our entire family visited the Niagara Falls on the 27 th of October 2019 . We were almost among the last to Visit the Niagara Falls before this event took place .

US VISIT 3 - SURPRISE PACKAGE - 777

         SURPRISE PACKAGE      VISIT TO NEW VRINDABAN  Our plan was to head for our home in Ajax after Breakfast as it was almost an Eight hour drive back home with  a number of Pitstops in between .   Sathya and Vandana gave us ( Revathy and Myself ) a pleasant Surprise by informing us that we were heading for NEW VRINDABAN instead  in the neighboring State of WEST VIRGINIA  . New VRINDABAN is the US Headquarters of the Popular  HARE KRISHNA OR ISKON Community in the US and the final resting place of their founder or PRABHUPADA . NAVARATHRI GOLU 2025 - AJAX - 795

                    NAVARATHRI 2025   --  AJAX  We are at my Son and Daughter In Law’s place at Ajax in Canada this year for the Navarathri Festival . It is  a festival which has the Ladies garnering all the limelight during the Nine Day Festival with THE GOLU as the highlight . The men in the house have to get down the Cartons from the attic with the neatly packed idols of last year stored there with utmost care . Cleaning and dusting the same takes some doing . Getting the 5 or 7 Deck GOLU PADI is a big task in itself . Haarish , my son is good with his hands which includes the Carpentry work also .
