SUDALAI AND ROAD SAFETY WEEK Ha Ha !! - 134



It was almost 4 .15 pm in the afternoon when SUDALAI  was headed towards  Kanyakumari for viewing the sunset . His wife and his  partially hearing impaired  mother in law had made elaborate plans for this trip and were in the car with him .

He soon noticed that a Police Patrol Vehicle  was following him . The Police Van  after following him for about half an hour finally overtook him just after Nanguneri  and stopped abruptly  in front of Sudalai s  car .

The Inspector got out of the Van and headed towards the car .
Our man Sudalai  in the car ,  imagining that something was wrong enquired in a solemn voice  , 
" Good evening Inspector Sir  , what is the matter ?  I hope everything is fine . "

The Inspector Replied ,

 " Sir , we are actually very much  impressed by your driving skill . We have been following you for some time now  and notice that You have been wearing the seat belt , have been very careful and never crossed the speed limit even once at any point  . You have maintained the lane discipline and and have also  been mindful of other road users and their signals  . As you are aware , we are in the middle of the  the ROAD SAFETY WEEK . We are truely impressed by your Driving Skill and  you have been an absolute role model for others to emulate . Please accept the prize of Rs 10000 as part of our DISTRICT  SAFETY WEEK  CAMPAIGN . "

Our man Sudalai  was absolutely delighted and replied
" Thank you very much Inspector Sir , this will be a great help for me as I can now go to a driving school and get a permanent driving liscence which I have been unable to get for a long time  "

The Inspector was shocked at this reply . but the Wife came to his rescue and added

" Sorry Sir , he has had  one drink too many and is not aware of what he is saying , please ignore what he is saying ."

The partially deaf Mother in the law in the meantime added ,
" I warned you at the start itself not to bring the stolen car , but you never listened , we are now in this absolute  mess and are  now  caught by this  Inspector redhanded . "

THERE IS NO PERSONAL SAFETY

EVEN IN A ROAD SAFETY WEEK . HA HA

         SURPRISE PACKAGE      VISIT TO NEW VRINDABAN  Our plan was to head for our home in Ajax after Breakfast as it was almost an Eight hour drive back home with  a number of Pitstops in between .   Sathya and Vandana gave us ( Revathy and Myself ) a pleasant Surprise by informing us that we were heading for NEW VRINDABAN instead  in the neighboring State of WEST VIRGINIA  .                     NAVARATHRI 2025   --  AJAX  We are at my Son and Daughter In Law’s place at Ajax in Canada this year for the Navarathri Festival . It is  a festival which has the Ladies garnering all the limelight during the Nine Day Festival with THE GOLU as the highlight . The men in the house have to get down the Cartons from the attic with the neatly packed idols of last year stored there with utmost care . Cleaning and dusting the same takes some doing . Getting the 5 or 7 Deck GOLU PADI is a big task in itself . Haarish , my son is good with his hands which includes the Carpentry work also .
