2021 ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS RELOOK - 316

 RELOOK 2021 TN ASSEMBLY ELECTION



My own political leanings is of hardly any bearing in the way I look at the recently concluded elections where the DMK combine have posted a handsome victory . Congratulations and best wishes . Hope they fulfill all the promises made in their campaign. 

Now , the interesting part ,

We get the Government that we elect , if close to  50% of the voters are unwilling to excercise their franchise to elect their representatives in the Assembly in Chennai City and other big Corporations , they have no business to complain about the facilities and Governance that are offered to them .

The razzle dazzle of Cine World or Big Boss seem to have had no say in Kamalahasan s effort at the hustings in Coimbatore . His chartered flight on election day  from Chennai after casting his vote and rushing to Coimbatore to oversee the elections have all gone to naught .

On the other extreme , 75 year old M R Gandhi  in cumpled Dhoti and Shirt and on barefoot traversing the Nagercoil bylanes to campaign and win handsomely against a DMK heavyweight Ex Minister Suresh Rajan is an inspiring story .

Both the name Dr Saraswati or the place Modakurichy did not ring any bell when I heard these names for the first time . Net search gave me the answers as a small place near Erode . Here again is a story of Dr Saraswati beating a political DMK heavyweight Subbulakshmi Jagadeesan . Kudos to her .

The DMK has a very difficult task on hand . After all the ruling family is one of the richest families in Asia if not the world . When you come to know that the Patriarch from the family came to Chennai  , then Madras  without a dime in his pocket , the act becomes even more difficult and difficult to convince the masses . 

The extremely strained relations with the Central Leadership is in no way going to make things easy or smooth . GO BACK MODI to the Prime Minster of the Country making an Official Visit to Chennai will be very hard to be brushed aside .

There are far too many other aspects which stare in the face and which the DMK will have to encounter and deal with .

People have reposed their faith in them , let us pray and hope that they live upto it . 

NO EASY TASK  IN ANY WAY OR MANNER  !!

US VISIT 3 - SURPRISE PACKAGE - 777

         SURPRISE PACKAGE      VISIT TO NEW VRINDABAN  Our plan was to head for our home in Ajax after Breakfast as it was almost an Eight hour drive back home with  a number of Pitstops in between .   Sathya and Vandana gave us ( Revathy and Myself ) a pleasant Surprise by informing us that we were heading for NEW VRINDABAN instead  in the neighboring State of WEST VIRGINIA  . New VRINDABAN is the US Headquarters of the Popular  HARE KRISHNA OR ISKON Community in the US and the final resting place of their founder or PRABHUPADA . The Krishna Temple ; Palace of Gold ; Rose Garden ; Goshala ; Peacock Mount is very Scenic ; People from all over the World Visit this place in large numbers and stay here for a few days for enchantment and to be with  MOTHER NATURE at its very Best .  The travel time involved was just 60 Minutes of Extra Time from our place of stay but the last 20 Minutes of travel involved coveri...

NAVARATHRI GOLU 2025 - AJAX - 795

                    NAVARATHRI 2025   --  AJAX  We are at my Son and Daughter In Law’s place at Ajax in Canada this year for the Navarathri Festival . It is  a festival which has the Ladies garnering all the limelight during the Nine Day Festival with THE GOLU as the highlight . The men in the house have to get down the Cartons from the attic with the neatly packed idols of last year stored there with utmost care . Cleaning and dusting the same takes some doing . Getting the 5 or 7 Deck GOLU PADI is a big task in itself . Haarish , my son is good with his hands which includes the Carpentry work also .
