            180 Kms by Car in Two Hours 










The distance from Ajax a suburb of Toronto to Niagara Falls  is 180 Kms .  It would be hard for many people to believe that we were able to cover this distance in TWO HOURS , including a break for coffee . 

It must be remembered that this 8 lane Highway in each direction is always brimming with traffic on normal days and during Weekends it is Chockablock with Traffic . The rules are followed to the T and it is no surprise that one is able to travel without a hazzle . Not once did I hear a the HORN being used during my To and Fro Journey .

More interestingly the first lane next to the median of the 8 lane highway is for the exclusive use of HOV or HEAVY OCCUPANCY VEHICLE . This lane is exclusively reserved for Cars with 3 ,  YES 3 OR MORE ,  or more occupants . More surprisingly , this lane is very much free when compared to the other 7 lanes . No one breaks the rule to enter this lane from other lanes . This is so because the fines are heavy . Insurance Premium which is very  high at the entry level itself  shoots up exponentially for each traffic offense . So no one ever takes a chance as all the roadways are covered by Camera . Offenses above a certain level will have your Driving Liscence  being Cancelled . A person without a Driving License in Canada is as good or as bad as a person with one if not both of his legs amputated . No one wants that does he ???

US VISIT 3 - SURPRISE PACKAGE - 777

         SURPRISE PACKAGE      VISIT TO NEW VRINDABAN  Our plan was to head for our home in Ajax after Breakfast as it was almost an Eight hour drive back home with  a number of Pitstops in between .   Sathya and Vandana gave us ( Revathy and Myself ) a pleasant Surprise by informing us that we were heading for NEW VRINDABAN instead  in the neighboring State of WEST VIRGINIA  . New VRINDABAN is the US Headquarters of the Popular  HARE KRISHNA OR ISKON Community in the US and the final resting place of their founder or PRABHUPADA . NAVARATHRI GOLU 2025 - AJAX - 795

                    NAVARATHRI 2025   --  AJAX  We are at my Son and Daughter In Law’s place at Ajax in Canada this year for the Navarathri Festival . It is  a festival which has the Ladies garnering all the limelight during the Nine Day Festival with THE GOLU as the highlight . The men in the house have to get down the Cartons from the attic with the neatly packed idols of last year stored there with utmost care . Cleaning and dusting the same takes some doing . Getting the 5 or 7 Deck GOLU PADI is a big task in itself . Haarish , my son is good with his hands which includes the Carpentry work also .
