43 rd Anniversary -345

           Memorable Day 12 th June  1978 



One of the all time highlight of ones lifetime quite obviously is your Wedding Day . Two very different souls brought up under totally different circumstances embark on a journey of togetherness for the rest of their lives , sharing all the joy and everything else that the future holds in Store  .

There cannot be two different souls who had almost nothing in common who were going to be united on this the 12 th of June 1978 .

Me , a sofar city dweller till the last 2 years at VK Puram , very much attuned to the North Indian Way of life , widely Travelled across the length and breadth of the country and an easy going extrovert . The stark difference was that though I could speak Tamil , my prowess at Reading and Writing Tamil was almost rudimentary . I could hardly differentiate between MUTTRAM AND MUTTAARAM .  Besides, being a late born , I have had the best of my way with my parents .

My would be better half was at the diametrically oppsite end . She was one among 4 children who had unfortunately lost her mother at a very young age and had been  brought up under very strict supervision by her father . Add to that the fact that she had travelled very rarely to places outside of  Tuticorin , her native place . The other striking feature was that she was a TAMIL PANDIT and a State Level Ranker  and  who went on to complete her MA IN TAMIL after Marriage and was  an earning member as a Tamil Teacher in a Government School .

Inspite of  all these differences , we have led an amazing life of togetherness . Took care of my  parents who were with us all along and till their last breath . Brought up our Daughter and Son in the best possible manner and who are now successful professionals in their own field and settled abroad . My better half who had not seen a world outside of Tuticorin has now been to far corners of the World multiple number of times .

US VISIT 3 - SURPRISE PACKAGE - 777

         SURPRISE PACKAGE      VISIT TO NEW VRINDABAN  Our plan was to head for our home in Ajax after Breakfast as it was almost an Eight hour drive back home with  a number of Pitstops in between .   Sathya and Vandana gave us ( Revathy and Myself ) a pleasant Surprise by informing us that we were heading for NEW VRINDABAN instead  in the neighboring State of WEST VIRGINIA  . New VRINDABAN is the US Headquarters of the Popular  HARE KRISHNA OR ISKON Community in the US and the final resting place of their founder or PRABHUPADA . The Krishna Temple ; Palace of Gold ; Rose Garden ; Goshala ; Peacock Mount is very Scenic ; People from all over the World Visit this place in large numbers and stay here for a few days for enchantment and to be with  MOTHER NATURE at its very Best .  The travel time involved was just 60 Minutes of Extra Time from our place of stay but the last 20 Minutes of travel involved coveri...

NAVARATHRI GOLU 2025 - AJAX - 795

                    NAVARATHRI 2025   --  AJAX  We are at my Son and Daughter In Law’s place at Ajax in Canada this year for the Navarathri Festival . It is  a festival which has the Ladies garnering all the limelight during the Nine Day Festival with THE GOLU as the highlight . The men in the house have to get down the Cartons from the attic with the neatly packed idols of last year stored there with utmost care . Cleaning and dusting the same takes some doing . Getting the 5 or 7 Deck GOLU PADI is a big task in itself . Haarish , my son is good with his hands which includes the Carpentry work also . He has designed a FIVE DECK WOODEN GOLU PADI which can be assembled and dismantled in a very short time .  Masterminding the placement of the Various idols in formations of ASHTALAKSHMI , RAMAYANAM , GAJENDRA MOKSHAM , DASA AVATHAARAMS , CHETTIAR KADAI WITH THEIR GROCERY ITEMS , PAST AND PRESENT LEADERS ASSEMBL...
