               PARC ALUMINAIS MEET 6/6/2021

Thank you for the invite and including me in the list of invitees . At the outset , I must Confess that I am not an Aluminai from your esteemed college . Mr Chandrasekhara Raja found it fit to invite me . The reason could be that I have had very long association with PARC Aluminais .

I am from SASMIRA , Bombay ( now Mumbai) 

 and joined the Madurai Mills Madurai in July

 1974 , Forty of us joined on that day from various institutes .

28 of us exclusively earmarked for weaving were transferred to Ambasamudram exactly one month later . The interesting part was that the majority of them were from PARC . Chandrasekhara Raja , Perumal Raja , Thangamani , T Subramanian , G Sivasubramanian , S Mariappan , V Srinivasan ,A Shanmugasundaram , Kadayam Subramanian  and many others which includes the esteemed Mr A Ram Kumar Sir ,  before and after our joining were from this college . 

I was given to understand that only only the top notchers during each year were given Admission in the Textile Technology Course of this college .

I now look at the present times and Graduate Engineering Courses . Glad to know that Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics are going to be added as a course of study from this year . My Son is from this stream from 

PSG TECH and employed at Toronto in Canada. 

The supply / demand quotient I firmly believe could be a reason for the problem on hand A change in strategy towards better marketting   would go a long way . These pandemic days are also an additional reason for this as the job market after completing the Graduation looks bleak .

Developing and improving one's Soft Skill could be an extra push . Being mostly from the rural background has its own limitations . No point in knowing the improvements to be brought about in any process be it Manufacturing, Finance or Marketting if you are not able to to get yours ideas through to the higher ups in a convenient way . Language and Presentation skill needs to be given an all around impetus.  Mr Ramkumar s interview for a transfer for a job to the US is a case in point  . Learning English or any other Language besides your mother tongue is always a plus .

I am sure with the untiring efforts of all , things will gradually take a turn for the better.
