Stars Going Abroad For Medical Emergencies 

The other day there was a post in the  WhatsApp group of which I am also a member  which lampooned the Indian Medical System .


The X Ray of a patient is shown with a Cockroach purportedly in the lungs . He is advised to seek medical attention abroad as it was a complicated surgical  operation and was advised to go to Singapore as it had the latest medical facilities .


The patient undergoes the operation and when he recoups , he is informed that there was no cockroach in his lungs . The cockroach in the X Ray was probably because of its presence before the lens when the X Ray of the patient was taken in India .


WHILE THIS MAY GO DOWN VERY WELL AS A JOKE TO BE SHARED AND A HEARTY LAUGH TO GO AROUND , THIS DOES A GREAT DISSERVICE TO OUR MEDICAL FRATERNITY AND THE HALLOWED  PROFESSION . MEDICAL TOURISM AND THE ALLIED FIELDS ATTRACT A WHOLE LOT OF VISITORS FROM ACROSS THE GLOBE WHO COME HERE FOR TREATMENT . SINGAPORE AND ITS ILK ARE NOWHERE IN THIS RACE .

The Recent Travel by a SUPERSTAR in an All Exclusive Chartered Flight is a Case in Point .

FILMSTARS AND POLITICIANS LIKE THALAIVAR OR WIG SPORTING POLITICIANS  GO MANY AN EXTRA  MILE EVEN IN THESE TRYING TIMES TO  THESE PLACES FOR TREATMENT BECAUSE THEY NEED  TO RETAIN THEIR STAR VALUE AND  TO ENSURE  THAT THE PUBLIC DO NOT GET  TO KNOW OF THE SERIOUSNESS OF THEIR AILMENTS AND THE EMBARRASSING  REASONS WHICH CAUSED THESE AILMENTS IN THE FIRST PLACE .

         SURPRISE PACKAGE      VISIT TO NEW VRINDABAN  Our plan was to head for our home in Ajax after Breakfast as it was almost an Eight hour drive back home with  a number of Pitstops in between .   Sathya and Vandana gave us ( Revathy and Myself ) a pleasant Surprise by informing us that we were heading for NEW VRINDABAN instead  in the neighboring State of WEST VIRGINIA  . New VRINDABAN is the US Headquarters of the Popular  HARE KRISHNA OR ISKON Community in the US and the final resting place of their founder or PRABHUPADA . The Krishna Temple ; Palace of Gold ; Rose Garden ; Goshala ; Peacock Mount is very Scenic ; People from all over the World Visit this place in large numbers and stay here for a few days for enchantment and to be with  MOTHER NATURE at its very Best .  The travel time involved was just 60 Minutes of Extra Time from our place of stay but the last 20 Minutes of travel involved coveri...

                    NAVARATHRI 2025   --  AJAX  We are at my Son and Daughter In Law’s place at Ajax in Canada this year for the Navarathri Festival . It is  a festival which has the Ladies garnering all the limelight during the Nine Day Festival with THE GOLU as the highlight . The men in the house have to get down the Cartons from the attic with the neatly packed idols of last year stored there with utmost care . Cleaning and dusting the same takes some doing .
