LESSER KNOWN PLACES OF WORSHIP NEAR                                      AMBASAMUDRAM 

   BHOOMINATHAR- MARAGATHAMBIGAI                                  TEMPLE - VEERAVANALLUR 

This Temple of SIVA AS BHOOMINATHAR with his Consort MARAGATHAMBIGAI is at Veeravanallur . This place is roughly 15 Kms from Ambasamudram. As with all other Temples in this area this sacred Temple is also located on the Banks of the River Tambarabarani . 













Legend has it that one will be able to visit this place only if Lord Bhoominathar so desires . Many have failed to do so despite many attempts . 
People visit this esteemed place especially when Buying a New Plot or House or when one has a long drawn Legal dispute over a land holding . 

The stone carvings are a special feature as are the Two Big  Temple Cars in front of the Temple .

          BHAKTAVATSALA PERUMAL TEMPLE                                              CHERANMAHADEVI 

I am not sure how many around our place have even Heard the name of this Temple , leave alone visiting them . 
This 1500 year old Vishnu Temple , again on the Banks of the ever flowing  Tambarabarani is  situated almost halfway between Tirunelveli and Ambasamudram . 

It is close to the Ammanathar Temple , the 2nd Temple on the Nava Kailaysm List .

There are Two Main  Deities presiding this Temple . BHAKTAVATSALA PERUMAL AND BALAKRISHNAN This is 17 th in the list of 108 Divya Desams . It is also a Parihara Sthalam and BHAKTAVATSALA PERUMAL being the Lord of KNOWLEDGE , School and College Going Students Visit this place along with their Parents  to seek HIS  Blessings for success in their Education .

This 1500 Year Old Temple is under the care of the Archeological Society of India . It is spotlessly clean and well maintained.  The Sculptures,  Carvings and finely Chiseled Statues are Unbelievably Beautiful . This Temple is open only during the mornings between 8.00 to 11.00 AM 

Self and Mami had a chance to visit both these places today and feel truely Blessed .










Do visit this place , you will be surprised at what you have missed thus far .

US VISIT 3 - SURPRISE PACKAGE - 777

         SURPRISE PACKAGE      VISIT TO NEW VRINDABAN  Our plan was to head for our home in Ajax after Breakfast as it was almost an Eight hour drive back home with  a number of Pitstops in between .   Sathya and Vandana gave us ( Revathy and Myself ) a pleasant Surprise by informing us that we were heading for NEW VRINDABAN instead  in the neighboring State of WEST VIRGINIA  . New VRINDABAN is the US Headquarters of the Popular  HARE KRISHNA OR ISKON Community in the US and the final resting place of their founder or PRABHUPADA . NAVARATHRI GOLU 2025 - AJAX - 795

                    NAVARATHRI 2025   --  AJAX  We are at my Son and Daughter In Law’s place at Ajax in Canada this year for the Navarathri Festival . It is  a festival which has the Ladies garnering all the limelight during the Nine Day Festival with THE GOLU as the highlight . The men in the house have to get down the Cartons from the attic with the neatly packed idols of last year stored there with utmost care . Cleaning and dusting the same takes some doing . Getting the 5 or 7 Deck GOLU PADI is a big task in itself . Haarish , my son is good with his hands which includes the Carpentry work also .
