 VISIT TO THE HINDU TEMPLE                          AT REGINA 





One always gets a sense of TOGETHERNESS when we meet someone else from a place which has a close connect with us . They could be from our place of Schooling , College , Work Place, Place of Stay or even a Travel Companion . 

Having stayed at various places in India and hence fairly  comfortable with 8 of the Indian Languages , my camaraderie with anyone from these states is almost spontaneous . Being a Leon and a born  Extrovert probably has something to do with this also .

I am now at Regina in Canada at my Daughters place and this being my Granddaughter's Star  Bithday and also a  Sunday , we visited the Regina Hindu Temple here to seek HIS Devine Blessings .

The assembled crowd was totally diverse . The Indians assembled here varied from places  as far apart as Kashmir to Kanyakumari or Dibrugarh to Dwaraka not to forget the Central Regions of the Vindhyas .

Even more surprising was the chance  to meet many Hindu  Ethnic Indians from far off places like  The Caribbean , Mauritius,Sri Lanka , Singapore , Bangladesh and Malaysia .

Canada seems to have attracted people of Indian Origin from all these places also as a place of abode . 

THE INDIAN DIASPORA HAS SPREAD FAR AND WIDE 

JUST PROVES : 

EVERY SIXTH PERSON ON THIS PLANET IS AN INDIAN AND A PROUD ONE AT THAT .

US VISIT 3 - SURPRISE PACKAGE - 777

         SURPRISE PACKAGE      VISIT TO NEW VRINDABAN  Our plan was to head for our home in Ajax after Breakfast as it was almost an Eight hour drive back home with  a number of Pitstops in between .   Sathya and Vandana gave us ( Revathy and Myself ) a pleasant Surprise by informing us that we were heading for NEW VRINDABAN instead  in the neighboring State of WEST VIRGINIA  . New VRINDABAN is the US Headquarters of the Popular  HARE KRISHNA OR ISKON Community in the US and the final resting place of their founder or PRABHUPADA . The Krishna Temple ; Palace of Gold ; Rose Garden ; Goshala ; Peacock Mount is very Scenic ; People from all over the World Visit this place in large numbers and stay here for a few days for enchantment and to be with  MOTHER NATURE at its very Best .  The travel time involved was just 60 Minutes of Extra Time from our place of stay but the last 20 Minutes of travel involved coveri...

NAVARATHRI GOLU 2025 - AJAX - 795

                    NAVARATHRI 2025   --  AJAX  We are at my Son and Daughter In Law’s place at Ajax in Canada this year for the Navarathri Festival . It is  a festival which has the Ladies garnering all the limelight during the Nine Day Festival with THE GOLU as the highlight . The men in the house have to get down the Cartons from the attic with the neatly packed idols of last year stored there with utmost care . Cleaning and dusting the same takes some doing . Getting the 5 or 7 Deck GOLU PADI is a big task in itself . Haarish , my son is good with his hands which includes the Carpentry work also . He has designed a FIVE DECK WOODEN GOLU PADI which can be assembled and dismantled in a very short time .  Masterminding the placement of the Various idols in formations of ASHTALAKSHMI , RAMAYANAM , GAJENDRA MOKSHAM , DASA AVATHAARAMS , CHETTIAR KADAI WITH THEIR GROCERY ITEMS , PAST AND PRESENT LEADERS ASSEMBL...
