WHAT GOES IN - MUST

  WHAT GOES IN MUST

                         FIND A WAY OUT

Long duration Flights have very intriguing and interesting experiences associated with them  .

This is more so for International Travellers . My last International Travel from Chennai to Regina which is in Canada almost One Year Back  is a case in point . Departing at 4.15 AM on the 20 th of June , I could make it to Regina by 12.15 AM Local Time on the 21 st , this together with the 12 hour time difference with India works out to 32 hours of Travel Time  including the Transit Halts  at Abu Dhabi and Toronto . Add 4 hours to the time  you need to be at the departing  Airport prior to your Departure Time and the total works out to 36 Hours or One and a Half Days .

Getting your Boarding Pass and Checking In your Luggage within  the Mandatory 46 Kg per head Limit is always a challenge . This is more so if you have Two of your offsprings residing in Canada and in two different places which are all of 3000 Kms apart.

The next is the Security Check of the Hand Luggage . You are never really sure as to what is going to be passed and what is going to be objected . Rules seem to be different in Chennai , Abu Dhabi and Toronto . Further , what passed the Security Check Last time may not do so at the very same Airport during your next  visit  . The Tragedy this time was having to say goodbye to Nellai Irruttu Kadai Halwa and the VK Puram PAKODA . Both were objected to  and found their place in the Trash Bin .

Getting entry into the Aircraft and finding space for your Hand Luggage is the next big Challenge. You are lucky if you are able to find space in the designated space above your seat . You will have to make do with storing your valuable items some places ahead or behind your seat .

Food and beverages are offered in plenty and that is never an issue , more often than not  it is more than what you can actually chew .

Now comes the important part . The use of the WASHROOMS OR THE TOILETS . During a lengthy Flight the number of visits to the Toilets  is always an issue with the limited numbers of Toilets  available and with  350 other Co Passengers wanting to make use of the same at the precise moment that you feel the need . The cramped and extremely limited space available is an additional challenge making it possible for the use of the Urinal only .

BUSY TORONTO PEARSON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

CLEAN TOILETS/WASHROOMS  AT THE AIRPORT

There are certain things which can be postponed to an unspecified time later . Our body is not Engineered that way . Our Digestive system is so programmed that ALL the food that you have consumed has to find a way out after the digestive system have done their intricate job of converting it to Energy . Beyond a certain point this can't be postponed .

The Washrooms at Toronto Pearson International Airport are extremely clean , spic and span  outfits with not  a drop of water on the floor or anywhere else in its immediate vicinity .

THE OPERATIVE WORD TO NOTE HERE IS            “ NOT A DROP OF WATER “

The Washrooms are bereft of any tap inside the Toilet . This makes the use of the TOILET PAPER a must if you decide to make use of the Toilet without a bottle of of Water in your hand. This again is an issue as you are not allowed to carry any liquid ,  Water or otherwise in excess of 100 MLS during  your Security Check . You would necessarily have to buy a Bottle of Water before making your way to THAT SACRED PLACE . Elderly people and those from the Sub Continent who are not comfortable with the use of the Toilet Paper are sure to  find this to be an uncomfortable Issue .

MAKE A NOTE OF THIS IF AND WHEN YOU MAKE YOUR MAIDEN VISIT TO THE LOO AT AN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT .

What goes IN must find a way OUT .
