HELP FROM UNKNOWN HAND - MEETING KALA 149

There are some things in life which defy logic and which make you believe in the UNKNOWN HAND from time to time .

Occasion: Ganesh Pooja / Amma Srardham .

My mother s Srardham fall each year on the Vinayaka Chathurthy day . Be it Kallidai or Ambas , this being an auspicious and special day , finding a Vadyaar for the Srardham is  always an issue . More often than not it is around 2.00 pm in the afternoon  and  done  the Hiranyam Way .

In 2018 , we were at Toronto and various enquiries led us to Sringeri Vidya Bharathi Fondation . Kumara Vadyaar originally hailing from Suthamalli near Tirunelveli agreed to help us out , if we could present ourselves at 8.00 am at the Foundation . This was on a working day and both my Son and Daughter In Law had office work on that day . They however arranged a cab for our travel .

Now , Toronto is the largest city in Canada and supposedly  the 4 th Largest in the Entire North America after New York , Los Angels and Chicago .  I knew that my niece Kala was living in Toronto and for some petty reason which in no way embellishes our age , we were not in contact with each other for sometime because of a petty issue .

Self and wife were at the Foundation by 7.30 AM itself and were waiting our turn at The  Vinayakar Sannidhi . Just to our right was a person who somehow seemed familiar . We both looked at each other and soon enough there was this huge shout of " MAMAJI " and an almost a  bear hug .

Past was totally forgotten . The three of us took part in the Srardham . Kala my niece was happy to be a part of her Grandmothers Srardham Function . Kumar Vaadyar was as good at the formalities as the Vadyaars back home at Ambai or Kallidai .

Kala drove us back home and spent some  time with us . We are now  in constant touch  and she is the Local Guardian of my Grandson Adhvay .

The unknown hand does seem to have played it's part for the benifit of everyone .

      The one on the 2 nd from left is our cousin Kalla and her daughter Aarti , and the on the extreme right is my niece Kala .

 AYODHYA YAATRA  DAY - ONE     Sundar Holiday Travels  As instructed  by Mr Ashok of Sunder Travels , we were dot on time at 9.00 thanks primarily due to smooth flow of traffic from Vadapalani to the Chennai  Airport .  Other Yatrees also slowly trooped in . Ayodhya Yaatraa Day -3 - 704

                  Ayodhya Yatra - Day 3  The highlight of the day was to be the Holy Dip in the Triveni Sangamam .  For the uninformed Triveni Sangamam is the place where the Three Rivers Ganga Yamuna and Saraswathy converge into one . It is the place where Veni Daanam is given after a bath in the River .  The 20 Minute Boat Ride takes you to this place of convergence of these three rivers . The Boatmen help you to take a dip in the water . Old set of clothes are discarded symbolising the discarding of everything bad and the start of a new fresh life .  Ganga is slightly murky while the Yamuna is clearer , Saraswathy is Antervaahini and it converges under water .  The Dhambadhi Pooja after the Dip in the Holy Waters  was performed with all the diligence that the occasion demands .  VAIKOM VISIT - IN GODS OWN                     COUNTRY  Kerala has always been my favourite place of visit over the years . Its cleanliness , its greenery,  waterways , not to forget its spirituality and beautiful people in more ways than one  have always held  a special attraction for  me . We , that is me and my Better Half have visited Kerala before  and visited many of  its  Temples and Tourist Attractions.  One place missing in this list has been the Viakom  Sri Mahadeva Temple . We decided to embark  on  a visit to this place and Mami was spot on to point out that there was a direct Train from Ambasamudram to Vaikom Road by the 16792 Palaruvi Express starting from ASD at 11.57 PM and reaching Vaikom Road Station at 7.30 Am the next morning .
