WEIGHT AND LA MADIPPU AMSA FLAB REDUCTION 179
WAIST/WEIGHT AND MADIPPU AMSA FLAB
REDUCTION
Lucky are those who do not face this problem at all of having to shed some weight during some part of their life .
Most people face this problem just around their middle age and a lucky few into their late sixties . I perhaps belong to the latter half .
I have been lucky enough to maintain my weight around the 55 kg mark up to my 60 th year . For 68 " of height this would be considered by many to be lower than the optimum level and some might even call it downright skinny which is one notch worse than being thin .
Be that as it may . Post retirement , there was a gradual increase in body weight and it now hovers around the 66 kg mark . I must add here that I am a very active person and into Gardening, Farming of my small piece of paddy land besides being engaged at all levels in the general upkeep of the house .
The almost 20% increase has many other ramifications ,the most important of which being the medical angle .
I seem to have outgrown my Shirts and Trousers or Pants . While Shirts are not that much of a problem , Trousers definitely are.
Try as I might , the Trouser Button and Hole or Hook earmarked for the same definitely refuse to come to an agreement and meet near the naval .
If with Herculean effort you do finally get them to meet , the flab protruding out
at the waist would be in the range of Madippu Amsa, the yesteryear screen siren of Manmatha Leelai fame .( Kamal Movie )
All this together with the General Health Requirement led me to embark on a
" MISSION WEIGHT/WAIST REDUCTION "
The best way to start the same was Walking for atleast an hour everyday . In these Lockdown days that i guess is the only option.
My neighbor Kadayam Mani s daughter Selvi was gracious enough to suggest and install an APP to monitor the same on my mobile .
It is now almost a fortnight and i have been clocking 6000 steps and a distance of almost 5 Kms on a regular basis .
I hope i am not imagining , but i do see a change for the better .
Hope to be around the 60 kgs mark by the year end and make use of the discarded Trousers in the Almirah .

Good luck. I have been a steady 75 kg and no amount of exercise has changed that. I drink four large scotch every evening. I also do intermittent fasting Monday to Friday. Still 75 kg it is the last 30 years
ReplyDeletei dont know whether my weight has increased or not. due to lockdown i have not gone out and there is no need for me to change any shut.as such i have no idea as to whether the existing shirts will suit me when I go out officially after the lock down.
