       AVANICA FURNITURE AND DECOR

 Blog Readers might be wondering as to what AVANICA might mean or at my sudden interest in Furniture and Decor .

AVANI in Indonesia means WOOD , and CA stands for CANADA . AVANICA  FURNITURE AND DECOR are an exclusive Indonesian Furniture Manufacturers who deal in Handcrafted Wooden Furniture and Decorative items . The wood could be Walnut , Teak , Tamarind or Oak which date their  origin to  South America . These FURNITURE items are imported from Indonesia and sold at showrooms in Canada . This is a Calgary based firm .

Now , my connection with AVANICA FURNITURE AND DECOR is because of my Son In Law Kamesh , setting up a sales outlet of these products  in a Mall at Regina in Canada and my own recent presence here . This Grand showplace is just past its 2nd Month of operations , I have made just 2 visits to this place . The product range is very EYE Catching in the most  attractive natural colours . The additional feature of LIVE EDGE to the Dining Tables of various sizes is an added unique feature as is the Glass Topped Coffee Tables and TV Consoles on legs carved out of tree roots . This  has attracted a lot of foot falls and a steady stream of visitors to the store . This obviously is a good sign as the Festive Season both in the Christian and Hindu Calender is just ahead of us .

My second visit yesterday was even more special as a new lot of goods had just  arrived from the Headquarters based at Calgary .

























Taking stock of the arrived material as per the invoice , assembling the parts where necessary , cushioning the same to avoid scratches on the floor and pasting the Price Tag  on the various products and lastly placing the items for Sale at the most appropriate place to gather the maximum  attention was an all new experience.  I for my part  was a small help to Kamesh and my Granddaughter Aarna in this excercise . This was more so because a VIDEO SHOOT of the Products and The Showroom  on display has been arranged and is  likely to take place anytime now  .

 AYODHYA YAATRA  DAY - ONE     Sundar Holiday Travels  As instructed  by Mr Ashok of Sunder Travels , we were dot on time at 9.00 thanks primarily due to smooth flow of traffic from Vadapalani to the Chennai  Airport .  Other Yatrees also slowly trooped in . Ayodhya Yaatraa Day -3 - 704

                  Ayodhya Yatra - Day 3  The highlight of the day was to be the Holy Dip in the Triveni Sangamam .  For the uninformed Triveni Sangamam is the place where the Three Rivers Ganga Yamuna and Saraswathy converge into one . It is the place where Veni Daanam is given after a bath in the River .  The 20 Minute Boat Ride takes you to this place of convergence of these three rivers . The Boatmen help you to take a dip in the water . Old set of clothes are discarded symbolising the discarding of everything bad and the start of a new fresh life .  Ganga is slightly murky while the Yamuna is clearer , Saraswathy is Antervaahini and it converges under water .  The Dhambadhi Pooja after the Dip in the Holy Waters  was performed with all the diligence that the occasion demands .  VAIKOM VISIT - IN GODS OWN                     COUNTRY  Kerala has always been my favourite place of visit over the years . Its cleanliness , its greenery,  waterways , not to forget its spirituality and beautiful people in more ways than one  have always held  a special attraction for  me . We , that is me and my Better Half have visited Kerala before  and visited many of  its  Temples and Tourist Attractions.  One place missing in this list has been the Viakom  Sri Mahadeva Temple . We decided to embark  on  a visit to this place and Mami was spot on to point out that there was a direct Train from Ambasamudram to Vaikom Road by the 16792 Palaruvi Express starting from ASD at 11.57 PM and reaching Vaikom Road Station at 7.30 Am the next morning .
